Titanium lug bolts
We are thinking about offering titanium lug bolts but we are trying to figure out if people would be willing to pay a premium for them. I would have to order a minimum of 1500 pieces so it is a rather large investment for us. I could probably sell them for $25.00 a piece which is far cheaper than I have ever seen them sold for. Usually they are in the $75.00 a piece range. At that price a set of 20 would cost $500.00. I already know about 5 people that I can put there names on them for so that would be 100 pieces but I would need to pre-sell more than that to make an investment this size.
If you would want a set and would be willing to make a 25% non-refundable deposit for them then add your name to the list. The deposit will be for $125.00 and I can have them about 4 weeks after we get to about 400 pieces which will be 20 cars and that seems feasible.

The reason why is simply because some people want it. Some people want to have something different, some people want anything exotic on their car, whether it's carbon fiber, titanium or magnesium and some people even spend the money on inconel. Either way, it's just cool for some people. Others will say that it's ridiculous and there's no reason for it and will say that they would never buy something like that (I myself will be honest and would not spend the money on it even though I do have the $310.00 Dual Phase Lug Bolts on my car), but I still have to offer it because there are A LOT of people that want it.
It's my job to offer products that people may want and to offer those products at a fair and reasonable price so that is what I am doing. It may not be something for you, but there are many people who want it and can afford it and there are a hell of a lot of people that want it but can't afford it. If you have the money, it's something that you want then here's a chance to buy it at a relatively very reasonable price.

I believe the Lambo Gallardo Superleggera (new one) uses Ti lugbolts as well and they saved 2.5lbs per wheel (IIRC), so that's 10lbs of unsprung rotating mass total, or 40lbs of static mass removed.
Good offering for those that are inclined IMO!

With how these guys are pushing the cars to the limit in regards to drag times over the quarter mile, 60 - 130mph, etc., I wouldn't be surprised if there are folks that are looking to save some weight or have stronger bits and pieces on their vehicles.

That's why!!! You guys go crazy saving a few #s on wheels imagine taking a 16lb wheel and then shaving another 2.5 lbs off that makes it a 13.5 lb wheel for an addition $125 each I'm in it!!! Light wheels light roters light nuts we could save 26.5 lbs each corner! Over stock. Every ounce helps

This is a nice surprise. The lug bolts you are discussing are from my Company. I would be happy to answer any questions anyone might have on weight and such. As previously mentioned, our price is amazing and our quality is just as good. Made in the USA by us!

Just a suggestion so please take it fwiw. Maybe you should work with rpm north on an initial GB for MBW forum members? Without the thread they created and paid to post, the topic would never have come up.
Anyway, great looking products and I hope to see a GB on your bolts via rpm north asap!

YES it does help, but you can not use that 4 to 1 equation my friend.
I have posted that here in the past as to the exact reasoning why, if you care to dig.
Anyway, good luck to all, but I won't spend $500 for silly lug nuts

We do recommend that you use anti-seize, though we have folks not using it and so far so good. But we do recommend it.
43.2% weight savings. 3.24lbs for steel factory set. 1.84lbs for our titanium set

So total weight savings is 1.4 pounds divided by 4 would be 0.35 pounds per wheel for $450.00
