911 P-Turbo Ruf 550 or Nissan GTR
It's been a great AMG run for me.
C32 --> E55 --> CLS55 --> and next??.
What do you guys think.
A 2002 911 Ruf Turbo 550 w/ 40k miles ($48-54k)
or
A 2009/2010 Nissan GTR. (more expensive option at around $60-65k)
I do know that I'd be taking a fairly larger risk buy buying an older and heavily modified car. Ruf does have a great reputation though. I just can't get it out of my head, it's stunning. Car is being sold at a P-dealer. Owner put $40k in Ruf work. Bigger turbos, suspension, rim etc..
Thoughts???
Hmmmmm.... P car for me. Would love to see a picture of it.

I don't believe that at all. I have been out with groups where all 3 cars mentioned were present and people don't even see the GT-R, it might as well be a maxima when in the presence of true supercars (even though it may very well be faster).
Note - the statement that it gets more looks is from a friend that owns a Lambo Galardo, Ferrari F430, and a Nissan GTR.
But hey, this is getting a little off topic.

That I can agree with! Definitely the younger gt-r / honda fanboi's love that car, and think it's the best machine ever made (it's definitely up there). Yeah you don't really get the revving and stuff to a lambo, more just panties coming off lol.
Lucky guy! I would love to have that collection!
His story sounded ridiculous, but nonetheless true.

Where do you live by the way? Maybe Dallas is different?
I don't think price has anything to do with it, honestly. It's about having "supercar" like performance from the factory. You can modify almost any car to be fast, the diffference is the manufacturer building it to be that way with zero modification.
I'd certainly say the GTR is Nissan's supercar, much like the Lexus LFA, Dodge Viper, and Chevy Corvette ZR1 are from those respective manufacturers. I'd say the Lexus is the only one from that list I'd qualify as "exotic".

It seems GTR ownership becomes much more rare the farther you get from the west coast. In Cali I noticed them a lot more, dare I say due to the larger population of Asian auto enthusiasts.
I think there's something about Godzilla and the mystique about it, most likely due to the fact that you weren't able to legally import one to america for well over a decade.

Yeah the R33 / R34 bodystyle is awesome! I do love seeing them!
