Frozen Boost Heat Exchanger
I know there is one person on here who installed this puppy.

Anybody else have any input on this HE? The price is unbeatable, or would you recommend a different HE? Fitments, parts needed for install etc? The 3.5" thickness seems kinda of big, and locating the oil cooler behind the HE going to cause any problems?
I'm changing the IC pump, and coolant so figured might as well do this as well and get the cooling mods out of the way... (for now, haha)
Thanks in advance tech gurus

Whatever we're tuning!
The NPT fitting are only 1/2" ports whereas the stock circuit uses 3/4" hose. That will be a major pressure restriction.
I would pass on this and get either the C&R Racing built one that EC developed/sells(I actually bought 2 this week from them) or the Ebay special PLM.

ZZ maybe a better bet,
Read this: http://zzperformance.com/cobalt_ion/articles1.php?id=65
I went with the FB because I'm perpetually broke and it fit my budget after this mishap with a semi truck tire

i got this HE -- Riveted it to the bumper support... had to do some minor trimming on the bottom of the 'skid plate' --- had to really tuck the oil cooler --
No problems with this massive HE-- but I never had problems with the OEM HE either -- even in the Vegas summer.

This one http://zzperformance.com/cobalt_ion/...=895&catid=178 looks identical to the Eurocharged and PLM HE's. Cooling specs seem to be the same as well. I want to order today hopefully, really leaning towards this one, unless one of you PROS says otherwise

the zzp has the 2 main factors i looked for in a larger h/e. first being fin area. the more area the better the cooling. the 2nd is inlet diameter and at 3/4 you should be fine. looks like a better quality product than the f/b just my .02
are you able to slide a h/e behind the crash bumper? i relocated my horns and p/s line and was able to slide a 26x16x1 in front of the oem radiator. massive fin area and allows for 100* diff between engine and i/c temps

Im not sure that would even be an issue, If Im not mistaken the ID of the pump inlet is much smaller then it appears as well (cm30), and a closed system like this is going to be limited by single smallest dia./ most restrictive point right!?!
