SPEEDRIVEN | E55 Twin-turbo PKG (feeler)

Hi, all -
we've been getting a number of inquiries about a M113 twin-turbo conversion kit. We'd love to be on board, but we're focused on developing the V12 software now ... which brings me to the following question that I'd like to put to you guys:

Speedriven is more than capable of designing and developing a high-quality hardware package for the M113 cars, with the same type of high-efficiency intercoolers, heat exchangers, and turbos we're using on the V12 cars ... if the hardware was available and high quality, competetively priced (not bargain basement eBay stuff, but QUALITY, bulletproof components that WORK) and you could then get your ECU custom/dyno tuned by someone like OE (for one example) or Evotech (for another) would that be something you think the community would go for?

Comments welcome, guys.

I am looking for a twin turbo kit. I was looking at STS turbo systems last night and they have a universal kit for 2995. I would go with your guys TT kit if it was priced reasonably.

$2995 is bargain-basement even for a Mitsubaru ... what do you think your total outlay, once all is said and done with intercooling, exhaust, throttle-body parts, etc. will be? Keep in mind, that STS kit has no flanges, manifolds, or intercooling. That's all on you to provide.

Absolutely interested! If there was a turbo/fuel kit for the M113 engine that was competitively priced with other turbo kits for the 5-8k range.

Maybe have just the turbo kit as a option, allowing for custom set ups for the mechanically inclined and a full bolt on kit for the rest of us...i.e. Turbo(s), intercooler(s), fuel kit, exhaust manifolds...

I have been looking into the rear mount STS set up as well, I know the 3k kit adds up real quick when getting installed as I have two friends with the kits currently, a C6 vette and SRT8 jeep. On the vette the intercooler piping had to be ran under/within the fenders

I would pay 5Gs or more if you guys had this upgrade. I'm begging you guys to develop this. I will have about 8000 by the end of the year.

Yeah - about $8-9K would be the range.

That's fine with me!! If we can get a group of people to pitch in can we go lower? I swear if you guys do this, the 55K will blow up!!! I might hold up on my 82mm TB and just save for the rest of the year.

Please keep this thread alive as I would love to know that a turbo kit for the beast is seriously being considered...

Not to mention with the downhill pricing on the cars a younger generation of enthusiast are picking them up - the first to make a complete set up that is reliable without upgrading internals will make a killing

Who is going to be the first with a V8tt badge on his/her w211?!

Would it be easier to develop a turbo system right under the car instead of having it all the way back, replacing the mufflers? I want to retain my EC Mufflers.

That muffler thing is 100% the wrong way to go.

Thats what I was thinking. Please develop it under the car. I'm sure there is plenty of room.

For 8-9k it better be under the hood, and coming from a guy who just replaced his engine due to my cylinder 8 detonating that there is more then enough room for a full TT kit

okay thank god! I was assuming it would be a front mount kit, if it was rear mount I would want nothing to do with it.

We need something to hang with the new E63tt, M5, and
highly modded CTSV's. Its
only a matter of time before
tunes, downpipes, exc are
available

A tune and simple bolt on's will have these TT V8's blowing the doors off of our E55's... All except the "White Bison"!!!! EV12 baby!!!!

What do you think of going back to a stock pulley from a 180mm pulley to compensate for heat that this kit may entail. Or do you think our engines can handle it?

OP are you considering a kit that works with or without the supercharger?

I think we'd do away with the kompressor altogether. The heat is too difficult to manage and we can probably get more linear power from small turbos.
