Daily Driver - 172mm or 180mm
I'd like some feedback on what people think is a better option?
Nice power bump and less stress on engine for longer life.
Props to you for having that kind of self control. Once I did my first tune I was a hopeless modaholic ever since. Went from simple Kleemann stage 2 to pulling the heads and putting in 2.82 rear end and on and on.
Go 172 and be done with it. If you are not going to do extra heat exchanger etc, 180 may give you some heatsoak trouble mid summer.
In all seriousness, every one will say what they have is "the right one". I think documented truth is that they're all great. I got the 180 because I was told by someone here "go big or go home". Been a happy guy ever since.

What if the car is not only your daily driver but is high mile (as mine is at 96k). I'm almost leaning towards headers and tune for the little extra HP instead of pulley and tune just for engine, supercharge, etc. longevity but the cost of a pulley, tune and cm30 pump is so attractive. However with that Kleeman header sale (if it's not over), it made me think that would be about the same power increase but would it be easier on a higher mile (well taken care of) engine? The cost of header install would however significantly increase the cost of that mod for those who didn't want to DYI.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Costwise, it appears to be reasonably priced and the install is far simpler than headers.

If so, you NEVER had supercharger shutoff during the summer months???

Hate for this poor guy to have to add a heat exchanger and all that when he really just wants to throw on a small pulley and have some fun.

To many complaints from other members with 180s and heat issues.
I don't have an upgraded HE and I've had no issues.
172 and a few other bolt ons and I have more than enough power for the streets.
If I could do it all over, I would do headers first, then pulley later.
good luck with what ever route you go
