I know they are different companies, that is why I said that because the Weistec looks nothing like a Kenne Bell but the housing looks exactly like a Whipple. Therefore "when you say Kenne Bell, you mean Whipple" since it doesn't look like a KB.

Keene Bell uses rotors from a company called AutoRotor.
Whipple now makes their own superchargers and rotors. They used to get them from Lyshlom, and when they started making their own were paying a license fee to Lyshlom, but that has ended. That is why you see some appearance similarities between Whipple and Lyshlom.

point is, that if there is that kinda pricing going on in the much more active BMW/AUdi tuning market for after market forced induction systems then dont expect to see anything cheaper in the less suppplied MB market... in fact with the much lower supply here we should see much more premium pricing over the BMW/ Audi kits

i have not seen a vortech s/c under 6K and that is the low psi (4psi) and non cooled version that no one gets... the stage 1 e46 s/c seems to be the most common one i have come across on the e46's and its comes in at $9K an the active autowerks s/c go from 9-12K from what i have seen...

Can I ask a question? Who gives a flying you know what about some BMW kit? And to take it further a kit made by a different manufacturer than what we would be getting. We are driving a Mercedes Benz E55 getting a kit from Weistec which looks to be sourced from Whipple so what does a Vortec or VF kit for a BMW have to do with anything? The answer is it doesn't. So if you want to talk about any kit out there, talk about some Whipple kit to at least be close to the same stratosphere.
You might as well start talking about a twin turbo kit for a Gallardo and try to justify any price since to me it is just as much apples to oranges as the above. There are probably the same amount of people out there ready to twin turbo their Gallardo as there are people ready to upgrade their supercharger in their E55. Maybe we should pay $35,000 for this supercharger
or maybe we should pay something reasonable because there isn't much difference between this thing on a Mustang and our E55.

BMW an MB compete in same market so pricing should be similar.... Lambo does not ,so their pricing is in another league
anyways wiestec has already produced these "whipple like" s/c for the E63 with pricing no where near whipple pricing... WAy more, so whipple pricing is not a indicator of "whipple like" s/c for MB's

Well if you want to speculate then use some info available directly related. Clearly there is a "Benz tax" going on but still look at Weistec having the SLS ($180-220k selling point car with probably next to no interested modding parties) supercharger for $28,000. A setup that seemed to be focused on the CLK63 which goes for double and triple what an E55 does is listed at $15,000. They have been interviewed and mentioned previous pricing had to do with available market. One would think there is a substantial increase in the market out there over the 63 cars for a 55k engine car ready for the supercharger due to 55k cars being considerably cheaper and in the hands of many more "tuner minded" owners. This in turn would net more than a $3,000 decrease in price (using your $12,000 guess) from the 63 engine cars don't you think?
One of these days they will finally just give all the information and everyone will not need to sit around and guess on all this crap. For the time being I would use their pricing for other available kits and the info they stated in their interview about a driving force for their pricing and go off that for your "guestimating." My guestimate says under $10k

I don't think they would say this for no reason.
$12,000-13,000 isn't much different than $15,000 when you are spending that kind of money on a mod. And an "affordable upgrade for all" does not cost in that ball park either which is why I set my guess at under $10k.
Hey Weistec, I know you are in here spying on the talk, I have seen you on the "active users viewing" can you at least tell us a more specific time to expect actual info on the kit? After the New Year, does that mean Jan 1st or sometime in February? After the New Year is kind of broad.
we are working hard to make this an affordable upgrade for all.

Very weird, I did a search for this thread earlier and nothing showed up. Some forum gremlins must have been running around.
Anyway I wanted to bump this again and hope that Weistec is coming with info soon. I am getting a little ancy to get all the hp/pricing info out there. I am working overseas right now and loving the per diem, so if this thing is appealing enough I may have to stay a little longer so I can get one of these babies when I get back to the U.S.!

Weistec released their SLS supercharger yesterday on their facebook page (not sure why we are still waiting) but it made 638whp using a 2.3 liter blower. And from what they said in the past we are getting a 3 liter blower for the 55k 
Can you say 700whp? That would be insane.
