Seriously, listen to what the guys here are telling you. You got great advice that got you pretty far with your car on their advice right? Why would they lead you wrong now?
Suck it up, buy a used cop car for a couple grand to drive around as you save up the $ to fix this thing and man up. You can't always have everything handed to you in life.

I am happy to hear you are reconsidering, Johncy! I can just imagine the enthusiasm drain once your engine went out yet, I echo the consensus for you to fix it. In the end, everything you have gone through will make for an even more rewarding ownership experience once you get the car running again. You have lots of friends here who will guide you through the steps you need to take. Don't give up!

You might just find a new engine $8k for Engine and tranny so you might get the engine + shipping for $5k or less. Contact him, you have nothing to lose. Its low miles engine. Good luck !

You might get the complete engine for $5k with a spare supercharge which you can sell for $1k to $1500. Not sure how much is to rebuild the engine. I would just replace the complete engine for $5k and sell some parts or have some spares. So actually will cost you only $5k total.

Assume you mean supercharger pulley for time being until a Weistec replaces the stock supercharger since that pulley wouldn't do you any good with the new blower.
