From what I understand, it's not plug and play like other cars. You need to find one that's brand new or with less than 50 miles and reprogram that to work with your car.

As I recall, you cannot replace your speedo with a used unit having more than a few hundred miles on it. You will probably need a new unit and a STAR system to install it. You have to download the existing mileage and VIN into STAR and then flash that to the new speedo. I read about the procedure in WIS a few years ago, so I may not be completely accurate, but this is my best recollection FWIW.

You are going to have to buy a cluster from a CLS63 and get it programmed.

Yes you will have to buy a brand new one and no one you found at a junkyard cannot be reprogrammed.

I had Cory @ Kleemann do my old car and it was a pain in the *** but one of my absolute favorite mods.

What goes out on these? What kind of crazy price does MB get for these things?

by what i have heard you can get a used one, use something like tachopro to set milage back to under 100 and then star will be able to program to your car
