Welcome to the W211 AMG Forum - READ ME FIRST
First of all, welcome to MBWorld. Whether you're new to the site, or a seasoned veteran, this is an online forum for the Mercedes-Benz Enthusiast!
This is the W211 AMG Forum, and if you wonder what that means - then let's direct you to some info.
What is the W211 AMG?
The Mercedes-Benz W211 is a executive car which was produced by the German automaker Mercedes-Benz from 2003 to 2009, under the E-Class model names. The 2003-06 W211 monikered "E55 AMG", has a powerful 5.4L Supercharged Engine boasting 469HP and 516ft/lbs of torque - nicknamed "The Beast".
The 2007-09 model years begat the E63 naming convention with a 6.2L naturally aspirated engine pushing 507HP and 465ft/lbs of torque.
Some minor face-lift changes were performed as well.
Mercedes-AMG GmbH, commonly known as AMG, is a subsidiary of the Mercedes-Benz car company specializing in high-performance luxury cars.
While this forum is primary based around the 2003-2009 W211 AMG cars; many enthusiasts will visit this forum due to the high volume interaction in these threads - tread lightly as there are many veterans here who have put in countless hours on their cars and often call out 'noobs' for uninspiring questions (that they too once had). In all, this is a highly interactive forum meant for both the new visitors as well as the veteran Mercedes owners.
We can't say this enough, but with over 1/2 a million posts - there is a TON of data in this forum. Much of this data is unfiltered and covers everything from oil viscosity to blinker fluid. If you don't search first, and post a basic question - expect to get some quick responses like "do a search" or "friggin n00b" - either way, don't take it badly - just respect the forum - and soon you will be offering great advice (or replicating the way you were treated when you first joined).
Sticky Threads
The Sticky threads change from time to time, but are found to be important enough to keep at the top of the forum to raise awareness to common questions, and general collections of content that the W211 AMG community deems important. Please read through these threads - they're full of info and you can get a quick idea for who offers good advice and which members contribute the most.

Hi, i'm new to the forums and i'm thinking about buying an E55.
I took a picture of all the money i've ever made...do you think it'll be enough to gain respect, or do i actually need to buy a car before anyone gives a sh*t?
Just wondering...

Turdster, you really need to give it a rest. You are past annoying at this point. Why do you think the other newbies of late are so accepted, they dont try like you do. Damn, I feel bad for you at this point.

Your other thread got closed and so will this. You seem to need attention with the recent threads you have started. It should not be at the sake of the forum or the members. I have noticed a lot of non confrontational members pass judgement on you and you should take note of this. I know you have "been on other forums for 15 years" but that doesnt make it right.
These threads muddy up the front page and your bumps dont help.
