throttle feels like mush not accelerating p2121 throw

Just when you think everything is going ok something always cones up with moding cars.

I drove the car off boost for about 30 min today and when i went to accelerate from a stop sign the pedel got really musshy abd the car would not go.

I limped it to work and it only accelerates with 1-3 % throttle input.

I tor everything apart at work and rechecked the tb cables and then cleared the code and all is fine now.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Its a scarry feeling driving behind someone thinking your car might decide to go wot on you from a faulty throttle pedel

He throttle pedal assembly is know to go bad. I would also check the connection by the throttle pedal assembly.

I once went WOT and the car felt as if it stalled as soon as I mashed the throttle and did not accelerate...I thought I blew my engine for a moment ( scary ) I got off the throttle and then it just went away on it's own. These cars are beasts, beasts get quirky sometimes.

I had my car sitting in my garage for a few weeks. I went to drive it for a real short trip and it ran like garbage. Coughing and sputtering; it even stalled after I pulled out of my driveway. It felt like I had some bad fuel. I drove it again later, seeing if a few miles would help it out, but it didn't. Funny thing was, it seemed to run fine at speeds over neighborhood speed.

I checked the codes and there was a P2121. Never saw that one before. I was getting ready to change the O2 sensors anyway, so I just disconnected the battery while I did it. After reconnecting the battery, she's running like there never was a problem. Also, changing those upstream O2 sensors made a huge difference. It starts, runs, and idles so much smoother now.

O2 sensors / you have a warranty so just go to the dealer.

My bet is on this; replace the pedal assembly with a new one and see if that fixes it. Mine went bad and the car would stall whenever I floored it and then the car would hardly accelerate with any pedal input until I restarted it. Replaced the pedal and all was good again.
