Can someone access MB maintenance and service records?
I'm trying to get some past service records for my car but MB dealer will not tell me or let me have anything because I'm not the one that serviced it with them. The whole point of me asking for the records is to keep my car in 100% update with all service needed. Can someone help?

Good for you taking responsibility rather than questionable FSS.

I wonder why MB seems to have this policy? I'm not saying it is true, but the only thing I can come up with is to repair stuff for the new owner that may have been done in the past. For example, they tell the new owner he needs a new IC pump. He tells them to do it because he knows they tend to fail. Or if he has the history, he might see it was just replaced and ask WTF.

Resent VIN AND email address. Have absolutely no problem sending a tip to ya either. I appreciate the help. Being that I bought the car used through one of our dealerships at 64k miles and only having a carfax to go off of, this is a big help.

I'm in the same boat. Just bought an 04 E55 and the MB dealer where it was serviced refused to provide the records. The lady couldn't even give me a reason other than it was just their policy. PM sent.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Reason:
Privacy issues. MB does not consider those records to be theirs, they think they are just the custodians of the customers tickets. Sorta goofy but they are concerned that someone will get hacked over their privacy being compromised. Damn lawyers.
For the guy giving the help above, keep in mind that MB used to monitor this board, although I'd be surprised if they still do. Keep this on the down lo or pretty sooon there will be another shout out to dealers, and no-one will have any access.

Damn litigious society. The day will come when it will be too risky to serve hot coffee to the public. I am surprised it isn't already too risky in Florida
