Took my car to the track

Hey guys I took my renntech stage 3 2004 E55 to the track last Friday. (Bought from bamaster off the forum about 8 months ago) Just had a question about the possibility of the renntech I/C pump being bad. Best of the night was a 12.3@111 with a 1.8 sixty foot. Looking at my trap I'm thinking the pump might be weak what do y'all think? It was about 84 degrees outside. Figured the trap would be much higher and would be in the 11's with that sixty foot.

I'd definitely replace the pump.

Also, Tony is good company.

Yes Tony is def a super nice guy! We had a snag in the warranty transfer and he was nothing but cool and helpful in the situation. Any thoughts on what pump I could go with that flows as well as the renntech unit? They want $1300 for a new one at renntech an I doubt my aftermarket warranty would be willing to replace a renntech part. Lol

$1300 is ludicrous. I purchased my 010 from FCP last October for $92 + shipping. It's now $100 + shipping, so I don't know if it's still the cheapest price around.

Oh yes, your pump is gone. What are the cooling mods?

According to Tony's for sale thread from last November, it has whatever Renntech's "Intercooler Kit with Large Pump" is....

Correct it has renntechs I/C pump and heat exchanger as well.

It looks like the renntech kit comes with new brackets for their pump too. So was hoping someone possibly knew of a high flowing direct replacement that would work the same as the upgraded renntech unit.

The new Bosch will flow the same as the upgraded renntech model or is it the same pump just rebranded?

Split cooling system?

As of right now it is not split. I'm planning on doing that next, but want to get the car sorted out first. I would think it would still trap way higher than that if the pump was working properly even not split in 84 degree weather no?

Guess I will go ahead and search for a pump then. So factory Bosch should be good? Or is there a higher flowing one that I should go with?

Both the 010 Bosch (latest factory revision) and the meziere WP136 are great pumps. The Bosch will bolt right up the Meziere will take some bending/wiring.

I don't mind wiring a different one up if it is superior. Just want to go with the best one possible

I've got my stock pump which worked when I pulled it out 3 years ago you can have of you want. It's the 186 not 010 pump but it will tied you over and wake up the beast.

The WP136 flows more but someone on here did some testing to show the 010 had lower IATs. I'm on my phone so I can't search for it right now.

Yes but the OP has 2 front HEs. He's gonna need the flow. I would go with the Meziere and split the cooling.

Thank you for the offer sterlinge55 but I will just order me a new one and be done with it. If I had a garage and tools I wouldn't mind doing it twice but I don't anymore. I will look for the Meziere and go about it that way if it has a higher flow.

No worries. I got mine from Jegs.

Edit: don't forget the fittings.
