My s/c clutch bearing was replaced under my extended warranty at about 50-55k miles.

Any idea why my belt doesn't wrap around my S/C as well as your does. I have the exact same belt with the smaller S/C pulley.... Getting it on was pretty hard it barely slipped over the pulley.

With a smaller sc pulley you have less surface area of the belt in contact with the pulley. The idler is in the same position on both cars so the belt is angled more on yours, also if you have changed your crank pulley to a larger size this will affect the ability to use a smaller length belt. By the sound of your explanation you are running out of tension adjustment by using the shorter belt, is this correct? The small sc pulleys would do a better job with the two pulley belt wrap from a fellow on the net, Shardul I believe is the guy to speak with.

If you look at Todd's though... Same mods and his comes straight down off the left side. I don't have a crank pulley. Just the sc pulley

Todd you have any idea why my belt looks different then yours? It's the exact same one... Do you have a crank pulley? I'm pretty sure we have the same mods.

ASP's use "Z" rated bearings.

Also, I have been using Goodyear Gator-Back belts with excellent results. They have better grip qualities. Roush uses them exclusively.

Do not forget to give the idlers a test spin with your finger, chances are they are due also.

Looks like Nachi bearings is the bearing of choice, the one you ordered is it speed rated and load rated for the use you are going to be using it for?

The only reason the belt would look different is that your pulley is smaller in diameter than Toadsters' and the belt wrap would be less with a smaller dia pulley. It is common knowledge that when you change something that is engineered you inadvertently change something else. (Normal pulley OEM size= maximum belt wrap as designed) .

I see little dif in the two setups so the variance is small, get a belt wrap kit, this should solve any issues if you have concerns.

Todd and I have the exact same mods, both have the SC Pulley and the smaller belt, the exact same belt.... This is why it is odd to me.

I don't see a huge difference... but I see a little more angle on yours - what length belt are you running? 505? 510? 496?

His tensioner pulley is farther to the left than yours.
