How did she behave for you? I'm wondering how she handles for you and if any one has any logs.

At 198mph, it was firm, but ironed out bumps.

Or so I've heard.

Ecu tune, a blower pulley, and lowered ride height should get you in the 200 club under the right conditions. Amazing cars..

Once you get up above 100 or so, the car really starts to stick to the road. You can actually feel it suck down to the track. When it is set up right (camber, toe in, etc.) the car turns better at 90 than it does at 50. imho

These cars actually do fairly well on the track, even though they weigh 4000+ pounds, when set up right. Granted, its not a GT3, but seriously. When you come out of a faster turn and the rear end is a little loose because youve got your foot in it and you open up onto a straight, there are few cars that can out run them. Only problem is they don't like dirty air, especially in the summer.

173mph the other night! She was better at 173 then at 70 andwas still pulling F**K**G Hard. At that point you can hear the supercharger alittle louder than the exhaust. Please note: I have headers to a custom 3” withno cats and factory mufflers.

Does the E55 have a speed limiter in the US?

I gave her a run a few years back, was solid as a rock until I hit the limiter at 255km/h (158mph) which was like hitting a brick wall.

I was told by someone I know very intimately that has a 2005 E55 that he raced an M5 to 165 several months ago. He said he was up about 1.5 cars and I belive this person 100%.

I routinely stretch the E55's legs out on the local 4 lane at the right times. It seems to appreciate the workout as it becomes so secure and unfazed the faster it goes. What flat out amazes me is how quickly it pulls from 80 to 160. When the majority of so called performance cars on the road would be gasping and struggling to reach this rarefied level of acceleration an E55 can do it without even breaking a sweat. This is a benchmark vehicle, it clearly set a standard that is even high by today's luxury performance vehicles. In twenty years I would be curious how any remaining E55's will be viewed.

Our cars are very areodynamic. Everytime you double your speed your wind resistance increases eight fold. Basically the w211 cuts the air better than almost any car on the road and that allows for insane top speeds of a reported 203mph plus with basic bolt ons and some tuning.

W211 drag co is .26

An Enzo is .36 to put it in perspective.

My CL55 is very smooth and controllable above 180 mph. I was suprised how smooth and over all quiet it was at 180 plus MPH and not to mention, stopped very well. AMG did a nice job with our low .28 drag coeffeciant, control and low noise at high speeds.

Most the GM cars I have run over 150, feel like they are coming apart but it does make for a thrilling ride
