GT500 tested by motor trend, how about 11.6
Just a little comparison between the two, done by the same magazine.

I read that portion of the article... Sure decent time, however it still did not best the shelby in the same test. Motor trend has specifics on how they run their tests, the Shelby bested the Hellcat in it's "claim to fame". You can say it wasn't VHT'd as a track would be, but I'm comparing the self proclaimed "Fastest muscle car ever" to the Shelby which was released 2 years ago and from what I'm seeing is faster still. Carry on!
That run was in -900 DA in good weather, but it still only eeked out a 1.9 60'. From what I've seen on other forums guys can get their shelby's into 10's with DR's just like the Hellcat, it just is a little trickier launching the manual, lots of them require driver mods haha

Same arguement here, your gt500 in excellent DA & 50 degree weather runs what? Vs Wildkat in middle of July in Texas blazing heat etc etc.. You note a driver mod is needed to see BEST from gt500, given it is a manual trans, but who knows what the desk jockey from Motortrend did during his launch in Hellkat? Ya he blew tires off no doubt..Edit:Im certain an expert driver could pilot the gt500 to similar ET's given they showed the same traps even in Motortrend tests.. Prob is gt500 didn't come w/optional automatic trans where even *** monkey Rollins can roll out a 10.8x on stock 20"s w/good launch/prep.. Point being the Wildkat can do better & repeat it given right traction by any AVERAGE driver.. Not trying to argue, just pointing out the obvious

Was MT's test done on the same track, same prep, same weather conditions, same driver? How about same transmission? Dodge claims the auto is quicker than the standard.
Sounds like your comparison has a wee bit of flaws.
B. MT tested it in Cali where they are located so surely it had better weather than Texas right now.
C. Obviously it was a different driver, all of the cars will most likely have different drivers... I know they won't have professional drivers only driving them.
D. It was driven on the same unprepped track that the Shelby was for it's test by MT.
Lastly, we worked out in the posts last night that each car is going to have differences and they both have potential to be something special when driven correctly, so I don't see what the big deal is

And to me, the only way to compare cars is to have them all run at the same time at the same track, as someone mentioned above.

) or if they had same in Wildkat or GT500 etc etc this conversation wouldn't be happening

Note during the drive he states that his engineers focused heavily on retaining the cooling ability of the car for at least 20 mins of spirited driving without any horsepower loss penalty. I wonder if we can apply some of these ideas to our platform (the Hellcat uses dual heat exchangers).
