I tried the search function but came up empty. Anyhow what do you all keep in your trunk? I almost broke down from a bad alternator and wanted to see what spare parts and tools everyone should keep in their vehicles whether on a road trip or just getting groceries?

Crankshaft position sensor + AAA or equivalent road service/towing.

No tools in trunk. I just keep my phone on me . If something goes wrong I call for help. To old to try and fix anything. Not worth a heart attack

I usually keep a machete in my trunk. I should probably throw some tools in there but that requires me to buy an E- torx set.. And that's extra weight..

The only tools I have in the trunk other than the normal tire changing kit is the oven/box wrenches to change the supercharger belt and a spare supercharger belt

A set of wrenches, a Torx bit set, a ratchet, some screwdrivers, tire patch kit, and a few other things in a nylon tool bag and some jumper cables. A fire extinguisher in case I need to put out a fire or re-enact the fire extinguisher scene from the movie Irreversible. And if I'm going on a long trip, I have a machete for, uhhh... camping.

2004 W211 E55 AMG >>gone but not forgotten > W123 280E > W124 E280 > W126 380SE
Pretty much anything that will keep me mobile and looking good. So similar to Dennis insofar as the Wrenches, Torx bits and Ratchet plus a computer repair kit which has standard and precision screwdrivers and a few handy tools not found elsewhere. Also a spare belt and an inverter comes in handy sometimes plus a fair few cleaning/detailing products.

I bought this trunk organiser a while back off eBay which helps to keep everything in its place and is ideal for keeping drinks cold in ice. It hides away under the floor in the wheel well, folds away when not in use and being an oe part is quite good quality.

That looks pretty nice. I forgot to mention a bottle of quick detailer and a few clean microfiber rags for dust emergencies.
