Exclamation end of warranty bug hunt - what shall we look for?

my 4-year 60k mile warranty runs out in 2 weeks - seriously can you believe I've owned this car 4 years (and only 44k miles)

so I talked to my SA and he said to bring it in to do an inspection to make sure there are no surprises...

I've had lots of stuff done - keyless Go has been the most common culprit - they've replaced the shifter knob 3 times, and each door handle at least once

the shifter knob usually needs wiggling to get the keyless to start - seems to me like a contact issue in the shifter, not the knob... thoughts?

also - other items to check?

airmatic has been good so far too...

Valve covers or rear main leak. Engine/trans mounts, lower control arm/thrust arm bushings, ball joints, rear shocks leak or noisy. A/C and heater ok? Noisy pulleys. Squeaky a/c blower motor. SBC codes/issues. Panoramic roof motors.

I would add subframe bolts as well to check on that list, idler pulleys specifically, keyless go seem to always break on these cars unfortunately. Other then that she will be golden enjoy !!

did the valve cover gaskets when i bought it, will check again though

rear main seal done last year
engine mounts done about 15 months ago
thrust arm bushings done about 15 months ago
ball joints have been fine so far

will definitely have them review the airmatic

pulleys are good, had them checked last month
a/c blower was already done
no SBC issues
had the pano roof motor replaced last year

subframe bolts are a good one too - I'm not that hard on the car, but 500+ ft/lbs is a force to be dealt with

it amazes me that MB can build a 20K nearly bulletproof engine good for 200K miles, but door handles - OMG they won't last 12 months!

I even saw a Nissan Leaf with active door handles the other day, I wonder if they have the same issue?

What type of car are you driving? I see 05 e55.... Am i retarded or something, how does a 2005 still have a warranty??? Extended warranty?

flex discs
shifter bushings?
diff side seals?
sway bar noisy?
spring links have play? noise over bumps?

You could for the hell of it if you haven't already get you a new tank, pump x2, and pressure regulator.... just saying

is there a burr in your water pump? Does the pulley have "excessive" play...? peep the quotes. haha

Power steering pump noisy when cold?

EGR valve sticking at times???

Not sure if you've replaced it or not, but is there a way to "prematurely" induce the SBC brake counter? That way you can get it changed within your warranty period and not worry about it for another 10 years?

Ball joints (even if they have not been a problem), valve cover gaskets and transmission connector leakage...best wishes on getting the last little bugs, sounds like you've been staying on top of your beast's maintenance needs...

My god ! I have my car for 7 years and my keyless go and door handles never have any problems. All 4 handles still works, lock and unlock !
