I wish I could save a few buck and smoke painted them myself, but I couldn't even paint my model cars right. I had to leave them to the pros.

as an additional note, I noticed your other thread where you had to take off the side markers to change them and broke them as well.
For me when I painted it, I just did a really good job of masking it off from the car and just patinted it while directly on the car, didn't even remove it. literally took 30 minutes from masking to clean up.
something to consider either way. good luck.

On a related note, does anyone have clear instructions on how to remove the front bumper lenses?
I ordered replacement ones on Ebay (smoked + mirrored bulbs) which arrived yesterday, but checking the E63 manual I found it doesn't provide instructions on how to remove the lens unit.
Apologies in advance for the n00b question

I bought one from an ebay seller and it didn't sit flush, I'm dealing with him right now either to get a replacement or my money back.

It was a pita to get it out, but I figured out how to do it now. :o

eBay is a great choice. But taking them off and replacing them is difficult, to say the least.
If you want to just black them out, I simple masked it off and painted it while on the car. :-)
But for your white car, I would agree clear markers are probably optimal. In that case, removing them is the only option.
Good luck!
