MB recommends - Engine Oil/Filter change every 10k miles/15k kilometers or every 1 year whichever comes first.

Mercedes recommends 229.5 approved oils “Viscosity 0w40 or 5w40”, couple of them are Mobil 1 0w40 and Liqui Moly 5W40 Leichtlauf High Tech.
Filter element cap - 25nm
Drain plug - m12 20nm, m14 30nm
Filling capacity 8,5 liters. (i start with 7.5 to 8 liters and then add the rest because changing the oil on ramps could alter those variables)
Approx 1 liter between MIN mark and MAX mark on the oil dipstick.
When checking the engine oil level, insert the dipstick and leave it in there for at least 3 to 5 seconds before removing.

Cool, thank you. I saw it was included in the oil change kit they sell but when I select it to order it by itself the site says it doesn't fit my car..... I thought that was weird. Thanks for the info!

I have read this WIS oil level check sheet and for the M157 if you warm your coolant to 80C and then shut off the engine to check the engine oil level, it will come up VERY low compared to a warm engine at normal operating temp.
I dont recommend checking oil this way, even tho MB WIS document does generally say to do this for multiple engines, it will make your oil read low.
Possibly its wrong but checking the oil 10-15 secs after shutting down the engine simulates the level of oil you have in the pan while driving, give or take. Now if you set your oil level where you let the oil drain down to the pan from the oil channels, you might be on the low side of oil level while operating and running a risk of sucking air lets say on a high G-turn on a track or while launching, that can accelerate wear since m157s dont have the dry sump system. Also not all m157s have oil level sensors if i remember correctly. Either way imo its better to be on the higher side of the limit rather than lower, and of course too much oil wont do good either.
Since oil expands with temp it would make sense to perform the check when oil temp is at least @100f or more. I recently had an oil change done by the dealer and when i check the oil level while the car has been sitting for a while, the level is above the MAX line and near max when i perform the check with the method stated above.
