My contact who works as a car carrier, saw, advised me and sent me the pictures last Friday.

He was not working on the weekend.

Upon arriving at work Monday morning, the E63S was no longer in the carrier's parking lot.

So I did not know the final destination of the cars

 

And so thr the mystery continues of these cars. They call the e63s wagon the unicorn but this whole e63 series seems to be a unicorn.

 

For me, It's the big + the AMG have on the F90 M5. A muscular sound instead of a racing sound.

For the exterior design, it's a matter of tastes ... Personally, I prefer the front of the AMG and the rear of the M. I also like to have a panoramic sunroof instead of a carbon fiber roof

For the interior, I prefer the AMG, except for the front seats and the center console.

For the rest, (mechanic, perfomance etc.) time will tell.

My choice is stopped on the AMG mainly because I do not want to have 2 cars in a row from the same manufacturer and currently I have a BMW. But MB are better to deliver it ASAP to me because I will put it back in the spring and remain a Bimmer ... especially as loyalty discounts and the difference in price between the 2 cars, it would certainly pay one of my bi-annual trip to the Caribbean

 

MBZ Laguna has 2 and the House of Imports in Buena Park (both close to FJ) has 2 also... I think they are AMG Performance Centers so they get a bump in allocation.

But then El Cajon only gets one and sells maybe 1 AMG a month LOL.

Im just looking at a possibility of getting one right now but hate msrp pricing But as Ive stated early adopters pay to play.

I assume then that you see zero shipping requests set up for any of any of these cars to leave the VPC hence. Launch date of next week is probably unreasonable to assume.

 

How about sedan configuration prices, any idea what the most expensive one has been to date?

My delivery date is set for November, but I haven't yet received info on when it will be built.

 

Correct. Right now all are in the same status. IN PROCESS. Don't plan to take delivery next week. Is not going to happen.

Maybe end of the month. Maybe.

 

The most expensive sedan is this in production and is going in Illinois.

I guess I'm up there with them then. My invoice price as previously posted is $140,865 excluding delivery. I don't count the delivery charge as that gets waived for European delivery.

I did take a pass on the CF mirror covers and spoiler and a few other odds and ends like the rear seat climate controls.

 

My SA just called to tell me that there is a software update in process for all the cars and beyond that he’s not sure when they will physically be released to him. My dealership is a factory store and one of the largest in Toronto. They are chomping at the bit for a whole pile of cars, so much so that they are arranging private trucking to bring their stock in faster once it’s released rather than having it come in from Halifax by train. Needless to say I suspect the delay will be several more weeks as I’m on my way to pickup a loaner that he arranged for me this afternoon. My sense is that this car will be worth the wait, and I’m wondering why no one in Europe who’s had it for review has really published any real numbers yet. I’m actually more excited for this beast than I was last year waiting for my now departed GTS...

 

I am glad to see I am not the only one who's seriously frustrated.. I traded in my 750i back in January and have been in a c300 loaner ever since.

There will likely never be one sitting at a dealership that I'd just want to buy off the bat.

 

Are more and likely going to be the end of October for the southeast for the E63's and GTC's

 

That doesnt make any sense not wouid anybody know enough to say it's that far off for cars sitting at port.

Then there are at least 2 Designo Cardinal red E63S's. My wife's has been built, it is on the water, due to arrive Port of Long Beach next week.

 

If anyone is interested/cares the 2018 GLC 43 line of cars is being held at VPC's as well. We've heard even less info than you folks.

 

Everybody here has simply heard rumors and lies so I don't think you've heard even less but rather the exact same i.e. nothing tangible

 

Which is Canadian and probably worth $5 USD and €10 lol... the other day my SA put me in a brand new GLE loaner and sent me on my way... if I had to guess I’d say my car isn’t coming any time soon... I’ve already started looking for winter tires...

 

My e63s amg was built on May 17 and arrived in baltimore port on June 3 and has been sitting there since that date. It is considered a "pre-production" vehicle and it won't be released until MB officially launches the line after certification. See MB commercial "Off The Line" on YouTube which shows an availability date of "Fall 2017" whenever that is.
