Lowered my family hauler (GL450) today with the same MBCANSOLUTIONS handheld module I used to lower my E43 in my previous post. The results were equally as good! I went pretty conservative at F: 1 3/4" R: 2" as to preserve ride quality. Although, I must say that the overall look has completely changed, especially because you don't see a lot of these lowered! (note: this is a separate handheld module then my E43, each module can only be used for one car.)

Just got mine ... quick clarification so I don't mess it up.

Which is the correct sequence:

1. Start car > leave in Comfort > plug it in > set custom
2. Start car > put in Sport + > plug it in > set custom
3. Plug it in > start car > leave in Comfort > set custom
4. Plug it in > start car > put in Sport+ > set custom

Which one did you get, the Renntech or eBay one?

If it's the eBay one, the drive modes don't affect how you program the car. This module changes the car's default height value. The various drive modes that would have lowered the car say an extra 5mm, e.g. Race Mode, will continue to lower it but they'll do so relative to the new default height. The same is true when raising the car manually using the "raise" button. i.e. it will be raised 10 or 15mm... whatever the height increase is as set by AMG.

Installation instructions are here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/282847463816

Ebay ... does it matter if the car is on or off when I plug in the module?
I couldn't locate that info on the instructions.

RE: engine on/off: it worked both ways for me. It's easier to not have the engine on, though, since it'll lower once it is allowing you to watch your work.

Limey Im currently lowered the manual adjustment way via my Tech's hands. Im level all the way around so if I get the module will my benchmark height be where I am at now? (circa 28mm down)

His module allows you to adjust and set the new default position (i.e. position +/- 0) but I'm not clear how yours was lowered, was it purely software or something else?

You are lowered via manual sensor adjustment. Airmatic (and the ebay module) considers your car stock height, yet you are down 28mm. If you use the modules default drop, your total drop would be 60mm total, so that wouldn’t work.
If you wanted to drop just a bit, you could do just 4-5mm via custom to drop to 32-33mm. I am not sure if you can enter a opposing number in the modules custom setting. If yes, you could raise the car a bit. Lets say minus 5mm would give you a 23mm effective drop.

Just to clarify, afaik the module can be used on many cars as long as the comand versions are the same level (any E-Class with airmatic or any MY18 S-Class). You had to get a different module due to different comand. It’s not a VIN lock like Renntech.

Thanks wolf, this is what I assumed but need clarity. So I will use the custom to drop it further when/if I desire. I have good roads out here so I can go lower (I actually think im about 25mm down)

For anyone that wants clear answers it's really easy to message the guy via eBay. He answers super quick usually and he's a nice guy.
He can also ask for your VIN number and tell you whether the module will work for your car or not.

Yes, simply choose custom and do another 5-7mm and you are there

This is as far as I want to go with snow tires and bad weather. We still had snow over the weekend

Why is the back lower than the front? Optical delusion?

Its level IMHO, the traditional MBZ even measured drop has the fender in the rear closer unless one wants a rake look...

Wolf, whats the mm drop in the pic?

Thanks, and it's not that low. The spacers made a huge difference. There should be a mandatory lowering kit consisting of eBay lowering module and 15/12mm spacers!

LOL just put one together and charge twice as much on this forum. Like the exact same rear wings you can buy from ebay for half of the price!

I doubt this is an exact science in terms of the precision of the drop between any two cars. Here's my rear-wheel dropped 28mm in Race mode.

... and the same wheel dropped 28mm in Comfort.
