It appears that the module flashes ROM which is why the car needs to be zeroed out to make sure the zero setting on the module matches the zero setting on the car for removal and returning the car back to stock.
If I had to guess there are a few suspension maps
1. parked height or
2. raised height (under settings)
and
1. comfort
2. sport
3. sport+
As an example one can be in sport+ raised then parked. CETE also adds in show mode somewhere but doesn’t account for all suspension maps completely.
Like let’s say:
Module Setting: Show Mode
Raised Setting: Active,
Parked: No,
Yaw/Balance Sensors Involvement (G-sensor): Active
Suspension Setting: Comfort
Then this is where the ride height sensors get confused. If I had to guess the g-sensor map is likely not attached to any suspension programming that CETE wrote into the suspension flash.
This also leads me to suspect the car should be at zero or stock ride height under the cete app (as if the module is removed) for all the maps to work in unison with the sensors on a race track.

Also, your G sensor leveling theory seems spot on. I've only had issues aggressively maneuvering.
Perhaps I will stop worrying so much and just plug the CETE back in and enjoy life.

In the CETE? Every mode was 0 and show mod 0 and balance all 50 etc. before removal.
Then after a day when I clued in it was not raising, I plugged the harness only back in, then after on level ground after driving around for a bit and after 2-3 minutes with car still running I plugged the CETE back in. It only took a few seconds to show up on my Phone and connect, and I flipped through all settings which were still zero like I set before removal.
I can plug it back in this weekend and do whatever you think might help

I re-installed the CETE and was immediately rewarded with a solid orange CHECK ENGINE light.
Then on a short drive the KEY NOT PRESENT red error started dinging and would not stop even though while driving I placed the key in the cup holder area where it sometimes likes to live to detect.
Coincidence? I think not.
Hmph.
My HP Tuners dongle and cable is at home, and I'm not even sure it works on 2023 for DTC and resetting. I kind of want to go out and get a cheap OBD2 scanner to see what the code is, but then for a few bucks more I can get one of those fancy Launch Creader scanner things by Tuesday.
It's a long weekend here "Yeah Canada Day!" - I dunno if I should find out TODAY what it is or just wait until I'm back home or order that Launch thing from Amazon.
Time for a nap!

Ok great success
Drive around the block
Everything still low on 0
Too low even for -25 even though says it’s 0
Park with car running and set to +25 and car starts raising and goes up not just 25mm from where it was, but a whole whack and settles at what would be +25mm from stock. Right on! So I set to 0 and it lowers to what looks like 0 - not too low. Right on! So then I set -25mm and it settled down to -25mm nicely.
TL;DR something was “stuck” and using the Cete to increase height then go back down to zero seems to have fixed it.
And to solve the G force or too much leaning errors I’m leaving Sport and Sport+ settings alone at 0 and will only drive aggressively in those modes. Comfort will be for parking looks and cruising cars and coffee under 50
+25
0 is 0 again

Check engine is gone! I’m 99.9% it’s cause I didn’t unplug the battery before unplugging random computer modules.
Gave it a few Italian Tuneups and it’s running better than ever.

Periodically you seem to need to ctrl-alt-del your e63.... glad it always seems to work out in your driveway. Karma remains on your side.

Went to the scales today at the dump and the weight of the wagon is 4,724 lbs without me in it.
- Full tank of gas
- All trunk items in trunk like fix-a-flat and compressor and stuff
My W212 wagon weighed 4,669 without me in it and 3/4 tank of gas.
https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...adventure.html
So adding back in 4.5 gallons of gas @ 6lbs a gallon the W213 is within 30 lbs the W212. Not bad!
Of course the W212 also had a spare tire, jack, sub woofer...

Again lol.
Hitting a dip in Sport with zero lowering.
It didn’t go away after a ctrl-alt-del.
So I set all Cete to zero and removed the Cete.
Scanned the codes I was getting on the weekend using HP Tuners. It appears that module the CETE plugs inline with is maybe the security module, and why it was whining about the key.

Finally defeated! Only for a split second as I decided to drive home with the trunk open. Man it sounded flippin’ awesome! I hope more stuff “doesn’t fit” so I can hear the noise!

So after a long test stock I’m back to living the low life 😂
I previously set the “return to stock height” at 50 km/h. My theory is perhaps it was in the middle of switching up/down at 50 km/h when hitting a bump or turning aggressively causing the errors. So this time I set the “return to stock height” to 90 km/h.
Thanks to @Ed99 awesome stance in the post a random picture thread, I am trying new sittings:
-30mm front
-27 mm rear

Had some work done today at Clean Freaks. I can't say enough good things about their operation! Super happy! If you are in the GTA and need any car stuff done check them out https://oakvillecleanfreaks.ca/
A while ago got some stone chips seen here: https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post8976186
Clean freaks professionally
- Removed front fender PPF and re-did
- Added PPF to the door handle pockets, B pillar black trim (it swirls far too easily, this will stop that)
- Removed PPF on trunk entrance and replaced with full rear bumper including behind rear wheels
- Re-PPF the carbon mirror covers.
Car looks mint again. Thanks Clean Freaks!
