Justin from https://www.purblanc.ca/ came by today and did a detail and full car ceramic coating. Car looks sick! I can’t wait to see it outside! Letting it dry inside overnight.
He also spent the last two days doing full detail inside out with complete paint correction and full ceramic on the C. Brought the paint back to life! Wow it looks brand new. Actually, better than new. Amazing work, perfectly smooth zero swirls just like glass. Better than delivery day. Interior is mint! I’ve never seen my wife’s car this clean .

A good detailer can work wonders. We have both of our DDs detailed regularly. I was with my wife in her Lexus downtown and found a parking lot to park in. The attendant insisted on giving us the best spot in the lot. Why? Because, he said, it was a new car. Her 2015 RC350.

I've always wanted "WZNT ME" plates. Thinking of changing it up from GRCERIES. Unfortuately WZNT ME and most variations using WASNT etc. are taken. I can do WZNTMEEE. Thinking on how they may impact officer interrations. Get off with a warning vs... ?

700km round trip yesterday. Made great time!
Unfortunately no one said anything about gravel roads for the last 20 minutes. Ugh. And I’m not supposed to wash the car until Thursday because of the Ceramic Coating! I couldn’t let all the gravel dust sit and used the hose when I got home in the garage out of the sun and run off most of it. Will see how it holds up when I wash it after ceramic coating is completely hardened.
And I canceled WZNTMEEE just too many E’s. Staying with GRCERIES.

You already know all this. Ceramic aftercare instructions are written for the lowest common denominator.
Work had me on a gravel/dirt stretch this morning and I know all the local self serve wash bays…. Had an ‘after’ plan before I left, but used some water.

Even though I'm nervous about spacers myself (do they affect performance? do they add undue stress? does it even matter? etc), I gotta say yet again, your tire setup is just so sweet. Lookin good!

I do wonder if tuned CPC more power and sticky track if the spacers would be a cause for concern. Stock so far so good. I do race starts with impunity and frequently make good time and no issues. I did think they were causing torque steer/wandering once but it was that part of the highway. Another time I thought they were vibrating at speed and again, it was the road. <knock on wood>.

After my unsuccessful attempt at running spacers on the W212 I was apprehensive.
https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...ispreloading=1
I read here a lot of success with Supreme Power and ordered the “Vic Special”:
https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...l-spacers.html
https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/815612-spacers.html
15mm front
12mm rear
60mm bolts
They work! No vibrations! Tested at <cough cough> many speeds. Very happy!
Oh and I found out a regular 17mm six sided socket works perfectly fine on the stock flower head bolts. No special socket required. (Thanks Mercedes for not including a toolkit)
Very nice hardware.
I tried to install the spacer on the hub first but not having a wheel hanging dowel (thanks Mercedes) I found it extremely difficult to line up the holes with the wheel, spacer, and hub.
So instead I slapped the spacer on the wheel lining up the holes. The spacer protrusion tolerance is so close to the wheel bore they press in and stay put even when rotating everything on the hub so it’s easy lining up the first wheel bolt. Nice!!
Ta-Da!

Know how you feel. A month before trading in my '21 Wagon, picked up a S&W 57 in Deming, NM. The FFL didn't tell me the last mile to their Red Mountain Bunker LLC was off-road! Fortunately had Lifetime Ceramic Coating. Next Day had detailer use Foam Cannon on it. I'm glad that I also ceramic coated each wheel for Extra $$$. That last mile was the worst...rather have driven the 750-miles from my usual Pit Stop in DFW area to Residence near Athens, GA.

Are you not in USA? Harbor Freight has the tire hanger dowels, it is what i use and keep in car for tire work/swap ESPECIALLY with the CCB rotors.

Smart Kids are Expensive
I got the optional 4K towing package with hitch and connectors. If you place an order at dealership you have to watch what options you choose otherwise it might delay its delivery. They are running 3-shifts now in Mexico to meet demand...the Turbo-4 is made in Spain. They put same power train in $50K+ Lincoln Nautilus...my generic XL with Equipment Group 100A, 4K Tow, and Ford Co-Pilot stickered for $29K with destination. With AMG Wagon trade only owe less than $8K on this truck. Wife will use it for property in GA we purchased in 2023...huge yard front and back and grass grows fast in the Peach State. XL came with steelies and excellent smooth riding Continental A/S tires and a REAL SPARE. I got dedicated Sparco wheels with Falken WildPeak Trail tires with 3 Mountain Peak rating for NM off-road duty to our excellent Gun Range and winters back East when I travel up to Reston, VA via the 77/81/66 Interstates.
The only negative is that the Turbo-4 doesn't sound like my LS3 V8 in Chevy SS with Solo Axleback exhaust or the Glorious AMG TTV8 that put the fear of God in local Coyote Mustangs and Hellcat/Demon Mopars.
Recently changed to Full Synthetic AMSOIL Signature to extend the life of the Turbo past 70K-90K miles. Otherwise I like the roomy little Ford that is quicker than most pickup trucks and some cars on the Road. It can run on regular to super unleaded...
Go test drive one then buy it off the Lot instead of waiting. XLT costs a little bit more but that is most
popular Spec.
When Son graduates GA Tech in 2026 I might buy another AMG or get that Lexus GX550 Overtrail. Bought the AMG Wagon when daughter graduated MIT in 2021...

Maverick is quick with 2.0T and AWD. Not a fan of any BIG3 Hybrid offering...owned a 2012 CRZ Hybrid with rare manual 6-stick that traded 8-years later on CRV Hybrid that is at our GA Residence.

I'm just following in your footsteps with mods... could you tell me where you ordered your spacers and new lug nut bolts from? I saw that you took them off because of transmission work at the dealer. Have you put them back on and have they still been working good for you?
Thanks

Was cruising in light, almost zero traffic on a three-lane highway. Saw flashing lights up ahead on the shoulder and did the polite thing moving to the center lane to pass, and as I move back the flashy-lights car leaves the person they had pulled over in a hurry, and jumps on me. I just keep cruising and finally after a couple minutes the lights come on and I pull over. No Small Talk, No B.S., just a No Front Plate ticket.
So I just ordered the Sto N Sho

Dropped off for Service B today with three additional requests:
1) Front pads are moving in the calipers and clunking on first brake forwards then on first brake in reverse and again forwards etc. Tech already confirmed it’s the pads. This is the second new set under warranty. The first set was replaced because they had a sandpaper scraping sound. At this rate I’ll never need to buy pads.
2) Driver fender Nike crest thing half detached and car is only ever hand washed. We will see what they say, I’m going to roll with it either way (warranty or not) and save up karma credits if not covered.
3) Intermittent very rough idle in gear when stopped. Cowl shaking, feel it in the seat, muscle car rough. It’s “cool” but…
I told them check the front axles as I heard it could be that. Car is left overnight to hopefully duplicate this when cold in the morning.
I left all the spacers and lowering and exhaust flaps open and told them what’s done and to ignore any minor suspension or flaps not working codes. SA absolutely loved it!
The SA I dealt with forever got promoted (good on him) so I’m nervously starting over with a new one. I told him he has big shoes to fill! Now I need to figure out what he likes.

Sounds like they were profiling you. There’s a thread here about these types of public servants. Hopefully that 🐷 has been reported. I once was given one of these tickets right after an accident and new bumper that did it have the plate installed yet. I even had the paperwork from the accident on the seat and the plate right there, with people speeding right by me. I was an easy statistic for the lazy servant.
Luckily you were not pulled for speeding which know these cars are extremely capable to do
Continue to enjoy and don’t worry about the jealousy from the pigpen.

And update on the rough idle - it's not the common axle issue, it is "clamps near the turbos not securing properly" they have ordered replacement parts and will have it all replaced when I'm back for the new brake calipers.
Man I am so glad my dealer knows what they are doing. Oakville is GOLD for service, pure gold.
