PARTS! Rotors warping. Cost
Hello,
Car: 2012 Mercedes E550 coupe
I have been through my first set of rotors due to warping within 7k miles(replaced under warranty one time goodwill). within another 7K miles i have started feeling the vibration again. I cannot tell if I am driving the wrong way or the parts are just prone to warping. The dealer claims it's my driving and that I live up on a hill that's why. However, I do not live up on hills and I do not drive it any differently than I have driven my other cars. Normal to spirited driving 20% of the time.
Every other car that i have had, the rotors have lasted me over 30k miles without warp. I cannot see myself spending over $800 dollars a year on new rotors and pads when I have over 80% Pads left.
With that being said...
I found http://www.mymercedesparts.com/. I am wondering if any of you have used this website and if they are a legitimate OEM parts dealer?
http://www.mymercedesparts.com/parts...omponent=ROTOR
Any help is greatly appreciated. Parts seem a lot cheaper than getting them at the dealer.

OEM rotors suck its a common problem. Go ahead and order the centric rotors and stop tech pads. I used those on mine.
4 rotors 8 pads shims and sensors parts came in under 500

I got the same problem too, it sucks. Everytime I brake, there is a vibration and it feels very shaky. I've already changed rotors twice already, thinking about getting aftermarket rotors this time around. Let us know which ones you get!

Hello All. Add me to the list of those having the warped rotors that cause vibration when braking. I too am searching for an aftermarket solution. Otherwise, the car has been rock solid.

Heads up to anyone buying the 128.35115 LR rotor, mine was made around May of 2014.
Centric had machined some of the rotors incorrectly I got sent 4 of them all of them were wrong. I finally contacted Centirc and figured it out by sending pics of the rotors. I ended up buying one that was made outside of that date range. The driver rear rotor would not seat all the way flush it was contacting the backing plate near the lip by the E-brake drum causing the rotor to bind and smoke, it actually turned blue from the heat.

I have gone through 2 sets of OEM rotors.. I had vibration on the front rotors.
After inspection of multiple rotors... my conclusion the drivers front caliper does not wear the rotor evenly like the passenger side.
I truly believe that there the problem is only the drivers side front caliper. I will try to take pics.. but its obvious to me the contact to the rotor is not the same when comparing drivers side and passenger side. Its even contact but not smooth.
Ordered all my aftermarket parts through Amazon and Ebay.. but first I went to the Stop Tech website to find the correct rotors.
If you search my post.. I went with drilled rear rotors from Stop Tech/Centric from a C350. Again search parts numbers and you will see the share the same rotor size but one is solid and other crossed drilled.
I went with EBC pads.. again search right pads for the front.
So far.. 4 months later.. no vibration.. but still feel not completely glass smooth.
Next I will balance tires to see if I can pin point.
14.2 inch front rotor will make a easy swap to c63 standard caliper or W211 E55/63.

Are there any MB service bulletins on this issue?
Are there any MB service bulletins on this issue? I have it too for the third time. Going in to dealer on Monday and would like some evidence.

Had the brakes replaced at my cost but it feels so much better now. Worth it.
