Custom Wheels Can Make Your Benz Drip With Style

Custom wheels

OEM wheels are great and all, but sometimes you need your ride to stand out. Custom wheels for the win.

When it comes to modifying a car, the most common element to change is the wheels. Not only is it an easy thing to change, but visually, has the biggest impact as well. We know about all the performance upgrades that can be done to a car as well, and their high popularity, but you usually will see those cars with a new set of rims as well.

For some folks, a new look is exactly what they want. OEM wheels typically run a bit small, so a bigger custom wheel does wonders to complete a look. Combined with other modifications like lowered suspension, and new rims become essential. In addition to different diameters, aftermarket wheels offer a better offset for that perfect fit right up against a wheel arch. It may just be for the look, but it’s wildly popular whether that’s your thing or not.

Performance minded individuals pay close attention to wheels as well. Some of the fastest AMGs to hit the strip run smaller wheels and tires in order to fit drag radials out back and skinny front tires. Quarter mile enthusiasts will likely take the opportunity to point out that a smaller OEM rim works in this case as well.

Road course racers need something significantly lighter and stronger than stock. Lighter, to reduce un-sprung weight, and stronger to accept the abuse that comes from a road course. To go back to the first paragraph, these rims also provide a certain track-ready look. And who’s going to complain about a car that looks awesome?

Thankfully, the wheel options are quite vast for these cars, and we see all different types of new, used, OEM, and aftermarket rims come through our MBWorld marketplace.
