crutchfield currently has it for 999 with free reverse camera. I was thinking of gettin that one too but the screen is too small for my taste

Hey i installed the D3 in my W203 it was pretty simple and it looks stock i love the way everything is set up i have the CD changer with voice control ipod and bluetooth i have no complaints except the radio reception is not that great

yeah my radio reception isn't so great either... i noticed there were two antennas that i could've hooked it up to. i ended up only using the original one and left the second unconnected. i am going to find a splitter or something i can use to connect to both to see if it improves reception.

btw... what do you mean by "voice control ipod and bluetooth"... what do you have thats voice control? maybe i have it too and dont know?

i recently installed one in a 2000 CLK55. It looks great inside, illumination can be custom matched to the factory illumination. Installation is not very easy as there is nothing to hold it back.

I have a D3 in my car...and love it! It can handle Ipod, Ipod video, sirius, xm, and play movies (with a bypass) .Wholesale price on the D3 is around $700, I did a recent Craigslist search in my area and they are going from $750-$900, do some research to find the best deal.

I am interested in installing one of these in my '06 C230.. I have all of the details worked out except for one question. I take it my cd changer in the dash becomes useless?

ya, your factory cd changer will be worthless. But, well worth it....D3 is very nice, and who needs cds when you got the ipod....

Do you have any facts to back this up? I've never seen any evidence that this is true for CLK's with D2B based systems...

While the steering wheel converter box is sold for some mercedes models, not all are supported. You will need to check your specific model and while the newer CLKs are supported I have never heard of anything for the older ones.

also check pac-audio...they make a steering wheel interface that worked for my c32 and my d3

had to get the SWI-CAN as well as the SWI-PS

I am currently in the process of installing a D3 on 2006 c230. Have you completed your installation? How easy it is? (I pretty much know the internals of the auto/electronics..) Could you please suggest some links to the components (cheaper, i mean ).

Its a great unit but the F series is out now which uses voice control. But for the price of D3, you can't beat it. Costs around $600-700 right now.
