a quarter mile at a time
now those are a totally different story. The single piston floating calipers on the non-sport and pre 2004.5 cars are garbage. They have terrible pedal feel and questionable stopping power.

definatly wait till the brake pad wear light comes on! i drove over 1000 miles after the light came on and still had some wear to go when i changed my front pads and rotors. ended up getting ebc red stuff ceramic pads and new oem rotors, $124 each from the dealership. they threw in the new sensor for free.

Just got off the phone with Autozone and this is what they told me:
- I gave them the part number 029112 and they said it doesn't show up.
- Looking up the Morse pads and giving them my car specs, they found
- Two types:
- with sports suspension, part #1121c (cannot be ordered at the store)
- and w/o sports suspension, part #872c (can be ordered for $39.99)
---
UPDATE:
I just bought it from Parts America under Friction Master Brakes. Shipping is free, but it takes about a week to arrive. I had a hard time finding the part from JC Whitney, Auto Anything and AJ USA which I use all the time.

I'm still not sure what to do about my brakes. The dealer said my pads and rotors are "below spec" and that it is time for them to be replaced, but still no light has come on. I think I'm just going to wait a little longer, I really don't want to replace them in the middle of the winter if I can help it.

Not sure about your rotors from AutoZone as I got mine through Auto Value. Would also like to report that after 3 months and some 6,000 miles, I still have no dust and they stop very, very well. Now I need to get the rears as I find them getting dirty too quick.

Changed front pads and rotors over the weekend. It was a very easy. The old pads and rotors were great for compressing the pistons back in place. And yes, I cleaned the pistons before compressing them. The torx that held the old rotor in place was surprisingly easy to remove. The rotor itself took a bit of "encouragement" from a hammer to get lose. Cleaned the hub and put the new rotor on. Put the torx in place and then the caliper assembly. Used a 1/8 inch punch to knock out the pins for the pads. Replaced pads in the same order with pins and clip. NOTE - my rotors were shot, but the pads had not got to the break sensor yet. The pads could have lasted another 8 or 10 thousand miles with my driving, but I didn't want to put old pads on the new rotor.

just saw this thread. looking good.
tirerack are filled with idiots. when i got my RE I called and ask them if they can order the 18x9 since they only show 18x8 on their site. they ended up telling me with confidence that BBS does not make the RE in 18x9 for our car. lmao.

Just saw this also.
I think it''s of the cleanest looking 203 sedans I've seen.
Once you have C32 brakes, you wonder how you ever lived without them,
they work so much better, especially with ceramic pads.

I really dont know how my car was able to come to a stop with the 1piston calipers. These things are unbelievable.
Thats what I thought, just a bit surprised that my wheels arent covered in brake dust after a short drive.
Debating between the Porterfield R4-S and the EBC red stuff.

Hey man, I've seen your videos on youtube but didn't know it was you here on mbworld, lol...
Your car is sick, I like the black hood, and the subs in the trunk. I'm thinking of what to do to my car...

I have these pads on my car And THEY ROCK! I paid 54$ at advance auto parts for them. I was sooo happy I put them on my rear brakes too. Now all the wheels look clean and my car stops very well. Finally we save some $$$ with parts for these cars.

I installed the front and rear Morse brake pads and so far I think they are great. It is so much nicer on the dust!
