ya most all of us have esp bro...it won't effect anything to do with your wheels or tires...unless they're completely unbalanced or something else is wrong with them

Just keep the rolling circumference of your back & front tyres within 2-5% of one another & you will have no problems.

new rotors...

Its about time to change my brake rotors/pads. Just have a couple questions before i do this. Ive read through the thread, but just want to be 100% sure. I have a 2005, we have the exact same brakes as the 06-07 correct?? Ive been doing online searching for rotors and a lot of the rotors say they work on the 06-07, but it doesn't say anything about the 05. Can i purchase the rotors that say they are for 06-07 and install without any problems? These rotors say they are 13", i remember reading a few pages back that my rotors are 12.8 or something like that, they just rounding up??

one last question, might be stupid, but the rotors that are gold anodized or gold zinc coated, that wears off right?? ends up silver underneath??

thanks for the help!

Just wanted to post my service info so ya'll have another data point. Just took my '06 C350 Sport (4-piston calipers, 13.6" cross drilled rotors) for full front brake service at Mercedes-Benz of Portland (Oregon):

Brake wear sensor - 211-540-17-17 - $22.50
Front pads (set of 4) - 004-420-90-20 - $107.25
Front discs (2) - 203-421-09-12 - $283.92
Labor - 42-9 Replace Front Rotors - $168.75

Total = $582.42

This was my first brake service and the car had 36,000 miles. I dropped the car off in the morning and the car was ready at 3:30pm. While there they also performed A-service, new wiper blades, new air filters and a few minor oil leak warranty issues. They gave me a free rental car for the day, coffee, a cookie, a tangerine and two dark chocolate Mercedes stars. I am happy with that.

Noticed you are in Portland. Was that service done at Mercedes of Portland, or Mercedes of Wilsonville?

Why did your car need new front rotors at 36,000 miles?

Has anyone ordered from this site? I'm thinking just getting the pads and sensors. Is it necessary to replace the rotor?

Wondering the same thing about the rotors being the same on 06-07 models. I have a 2005 also. The rotors on mine aren't completely flat. they have indentations around the outer and inner on both fronts. My SA thinks it's caused by worn pads but it's been like that since I bought the car at 17k miles. I have 54k now.

EDIT: Don't buy from these guys. I just called them to ask what brand these are and he didnt wanna say. I asked if they're OEM, he said they're OEM and OEM quality but they're not Mercedes. wtf? I then asked to reconfirm that he didn't know what brand they are. His reply was, well you ask a general question, I give you a general answer.

i have them on my c32...the low noise ceramic version with oem rotors. They stop slightly better then stock but have no brake dust or very little. 2wks of driving and no dust.

I got mine from tirerack.com. I'm not sure if they make them for your car though.

Hi Guys, I'm needing pads ASAP, but for what I could read, its best going to EBC, easy to find and at a reasonable price.

I'm going to EBC Yellows, any one have something to say about them? Are they harder on the rotors than the Red's?
This is my big concern, and off course, that they have a good bite and no noise...

What about pagid's RS or ferodo DS, any one used?

PS: for C55/C32 front brake system, and I'm running out ATE pads, much better than OEM
Thanks
