Has anyone ever disected one of these? It would be interesting to see what's inside, and if it's really only about $10.00 in parts in a $290.00 make-it-look-nice package.

Chrysler Crossfire
It is, sort of. The Plugs are direct copies of OEM parts and the install is very clean. If you were good with electronics I'm positive you could reproduce these with very little trouble. Not to put down a product we sell, but even the wholesale prices are ridiculous.

Another sprint booster owner here.
just took it out for a spin around the block. It's a little jumpy... I'm gonna hold further comments till i drive it about for more time ... more day to day .like...
Ok update:
Thanks for TVT for a prompt shipment
Thanks to bukelos for a great product. The car should've come like this stock, or at least been like this in S and M mode, but been subdued in Comfort mode. It is very manageable to drive, it's very fun to drive, it totally fixes the car... I should've done this 3 years ago.
Before the car used to feel like it had a turbo on it, with a too large A/R and too small a compressor housing... you wait and you wait , then boost comes on, but there isn't that huge surge of power that you expect after that much lag. Now the car feels properly supercharged with a centrifugal blower...
Before I would go into boost at about 70% throttle
Now It boost at about 40% throttle , which is typically as deep as most people go for a typical highway pass.... much more linear performance and I likes it...

I've had it on my c320 for about a year. It does respond quicker. makes the car seem faster. the only thing i did not like was my car now burns oil out of the exhaust. I'm almost positive its from the sprint booster. anyone else have this problem?

better think again- that's not really possible. other issues could cause your oil burning problem- but not an sprint booster

...a panty dropper...
I just read through this whole forum page by page and I am curious on if the M/T which is the more aggresive version will work for the auto trans? Or if there is an aggresive version for the auto trans. I got confused with all the bantering back and fourth between people who have it installed with great results to people who are non believers who dont have it installed. I also went to the TVT Design website and the only sprintbooster I found was to the Crossfire. Should I just contact them directly and see if they have the part for the W203 in stock.

I've had my SprintBooster on for like 2-3 months now, and I can say that I'm pretty happy with it. The response time is a lot better and the car does seem faster
drool........
I got my S5 on the way anyway

What does it do? Does it simply tell the car you're giving more throttle than you are, or something else?
I don't really understand it. Evidently it must be more than above because these cars even when you floor them, don't want to go until it downshifts and stuff, so just curious how it works.

Good God! I've just read this thread from beginning to end & hereby declare it "the epitome of the closed mind"
"Never, in the history of human conflict, was so much crap spoken by so many to so few" - about a simple concept. (apologies to Churchill)
Thank heaven a few "got it"

Just installed mine today...i have an '05 c230k ss and i was sent the auto version instead of the manual version but i installed it anyway and think its perfect...not jumpy at all as has been described in other posts...its quite fluid and just feels like your not driving a 4cyl anymore and reacts when you jump on it which is awesome...not sure if its worth hundreds but def worth the time it took to install (5 minutes with a 10mm wrench and flat head)

Now we have to find out how to remap the the throttle response on a Merc without the need for a Sprintbooster!
