Painting Brake Caliper
Has any one done this on a White coupe? I would like a picture if possible. I could not decide what color to select.

There's a thread in the wheel section on this very topic. I put up a pic of my caliper (white C240) that should give you a good idea of what red would lok like on your car.

BlackC230Coupe said that there's no issue with all the dealers he talked to when it came to painting his calipers.
The reason the front discs are much larger than the rear discs is because under braking, the weight is shifted very far forward, so if the rear brakes operated at same rate as the fronts, the rear tires would lock up without ABS to compensate. If you got matching sized rotors front and back, the braking power would be distributed 50/50 front/rear, which may cause the rear tires to lock. You'd need an expensive brake balance controller if you want to properly adjust the ratios of the braking force. This also explains why the front discs dust so much more than the rear discs, because most of the work is done by the front brakes.

By the way the Red calipers could look great on any color car. They also look great with the C7 rims. It shows them off alot.

Actually, my stock C230K calipers are already painted silver, but I'm planning on painting them to red, the same color as the pictures BigBadDad provided. Because red brake calipers are the traditional sports brake theme, red looks good on virtually any other body color. If you want to be unique, however, I'd recommend getting blue, green, or yellow, depending on your personal preference.

i have a white coupe and i painted the brake calipers yellow.
i think yellow blends with the white better than red because white and red is in contrast colors.
and there are too many cars with red brake calipers out there. so yellow is kinda special.
here is the front painted, i have pics for the rear if interested.

BBD: Thanks a bunch. Thats looks ok but, if the rears were like the fronts that would look awesome. The coupes rears are not all that much smaller than the fronts but they dont look as good. I'll still do red on my silver coupe.

Also, in order to get an even, smooth coat on the calipers, apply 2 light coats instead of 1 thick coat. The surface will come out smoother, and the color will be much more uniform across the caliper.
