Are you trying to go the cheap route? If so, why?

not really, just wondering if it had ever been done really, judging by the replies ive gotten on this topic i am pretty sure im going to do the res delete along with the eisenmann race from jlevi (anyone have a better source)...im kinda afraid of loosing power now and not getting the sound im looking for. after hearing the eisenmann in person, im not sure too many setups can compare imo...

I was just curious.

If you're really going for the "sound", take a listen to my video clips on you tube. I think the Eisenmann Race sounds a little tinny and high pitched on the 230K's (especially at higher RPM's)..

I love the way my exhaust sounds now. It sounds even better now, than it does in my video clip. If I get a chance, I'll take more sound clips (maybe during the day this time).

Just keep in mind that resonator delete usually leads to droaning in the cabin, which based on your initial post, I don't think you'll mind. Back in the day, I probably would've done the resonator delete, but nowadays I like exhausts that are somewhat quiet at low rpm's, but aggressive sounding when the throttle is depressed (especially during WOT).

thanks for all the input guys, ive been on audiworld for a few years now and got some great help from members and from the looks of things this forum will prove to be just as good if not better, drex- i listened to the clip in your sig and your setup sounds really nice, be sure to post the new clip you mentioned when you get a chance. right now i am actually waiting for the dealer to finish prepping the car, i dont even actually have it yet but i have already began the initial modding stages (ordered clears, flat hood emblem and made tint appointment hehe) but once i get it ill be sure to post a formal introduction. my name is dino btw

ayyyyy dino!!! wassup bro!

you'll find a lot of help on the forums, but still

I strongly reccomend you deleting the resonator (or secondary cat on the sport sedans), first. and if its not the note you are looking for, and not really willing to spend "a lot" on a exhaust, simply get a magnaflow, and youre good to go!

I removed my mufflers and resonators on the ML, and boy was it loud. So loud, that I ended up putting the resonator back in, and now it sounds a lot better. No mufflers with resonators is the best way to go.

BTW.. you do lose a lot fo torque if you do both. I feel more power with the resonator in.

Sound clips are in the ML AMG forum under F@$# Mufflers

I was told there was no resonator on the sport sedans, so do a secondary cat delete. it sounds pretty cool!

noone has really brought this up...but wouldnt running a straight pipe from the cat be blaringly illegal?? i mean...not only would it be illegal, but it would be ostentacious....seems like it would attract cops like flies on **** to be THAT loud...they get people with loud stereos all the time, i mean...just seems like thats not street legal (dunno if anyone cares, tho)

most of the parts we have on our cars are installed 'illegaly' anyway. most of the companies declare "for off road or show use only". My guess is that running straight pipe would probably be louder then eisenmann. check this out off a s550

well, yes some are technically illegal...but it seems like this would really attract the 5-0. i mean, if i ge tpulled over for my eisenmann, its completely legal...however im fairly certain a muffler is mandatory...could be wrong...

Harry, you could've posted this in the aftermarket exhaust thread...Come on, man, help me out here.

That looks like the Weltmeister. Check Performance products. I know they sell it. I think Evosport sells it too. That's the sponsors. I'm sure you can find a lot of other shops that sell it as well.

Frank has it on his C32. It's a very solid muffler setup for any of the w203 models (exception - c55). This is what a lot of people get when they don't have a custom one made.

I like this exhaust a lot, just didn't get it for my car because I didn't want to look like a C32 or a C55. Too many stupid drivers trying to do stupid ish on the road and f' around. My car already attracts enough attention as is.

That being said, you'll need to get the passenger side of the rear bumper cut to fit the tips. Any good body shop or muffler shop should be able to draw the outline and cut it for you.

is it better to do the lorinser one tip on each side? would i need a full lorinser bumper to make that setup work?

Either way, you'd still have to cut the bumper on the passenger side. Neither is "better" than the other. I hate saying it's an "exhaust" because really, it's just a replacement muffler. It is primarily for look/sound, so it comes down to the look you like.

Either won't won't need a bumper replacement. You'll just have to make an exhaust cutout for the rear passenger side tips.

I like how the quad tips look, but I also like dual tip. If I had a C32, I'd probably do quad tip just to make it easy (no custom work, except for bumper fitment of passenger tips).

Easy answer is look at the pics in my signature. My preference is the Kleemann trapezoid single tip! If I had a C55, I'd do a dual trapezoid no question.

Drex, I really like your trapezoid exhaust tip. Can I just change the tips on my C32 with that or is that a whole muffler/exhaust set-up? Also can I use this on my car and go for the dual look? (And if it's not too much to ask...a link where to get). Salamat.

I have a full Kleemann muffler. it is their signature tip. mig888 is the other one that I know has the muffler. I can't remember retail cost, but it s around 765ish or more. Im not sure if they sell the tip alone. if they do, im sure it is expensive. If u have an actual AMG muffler, its more difficult. If u have the sport oval tip it would be easier, but still would need custom welding. Basically, it isn't worth it unless u buy the muffler. dual trapezoid setup is for the c55 only. I think there are sponsors that sell kleemann parts, but you can also purchase from them direct.
