The city lights are NOT 194 bulbs (the side markers are). The city lights are a twist in bulb, not a plug in bulb. Most of the "superwhite" bulbs in this size are crap and still look yellow - your only hope for a white/blue looking bulb is a custom LED. Search the forum for "city lights" and you'll get a ton of info

Earth to Josh.....the City lights are 5 WATT 194's. I was using the 194 LED replacements in my coupe up until a month ago, then one of the boards developed a fault and I put the amberesque 194's back in. I just didn't feeling like shelling out the bucks to replace the faulty LED board when the car sits most of the winter.

us_matrix,

I just changed mine from an automotive performance store near my house but the light bulb is kinda bluish though. You can get the light bulb in any automotive store. Ask them , if they have 5 watt white LED. that will do. Remeber try in your car before you buy it and justify the color first.

i'm sure there are...
i haven't ordered online ever since i had bad experience...
ppl say because PIAA is so popular, there are too many replicas out there...
maybe members here can share their experience with PIAA bulbs and which online store carries authentic PIAA.

"Trying" the LED's won't work. They wont work beyond flashing a few times. You'll need load equalizers( I have yet to see 194's with onboard equalizers that will fit the small hole for the socket) or you will need to wire in another socket on each line, and put the original 5Dubs in. I did that....I tapped small glass discs to the lights as insurance that they wouldn't warp the plastic on the back side.

The LED's will look as white as true HID when on by themselves, but your brain will "color correct" them if you have oridnary H7(yellowish) bulbs so they appear rather blue.

How long can you leave the parking lights on before it drains the car's battery? Anyone actually uses this feature?

They will definitely fit, a big improvement over the yellow stockers. The 19169's seems to be the favorite of those with bi-xenon's. The 19172's (PIAA extreme white's) were a little too blue for some. I've sold quite a few sets of the 19169's to those here in San Diego.

what kind is it? is it LED or regular. If its LED you need a load eq or resistor.
