I'll take that as a no on the grille.
I would much prefer the hood star over the flat badge. Of course if you have the star in the grille then also having it on the hood would look strange.

Just my own opinion I guess. Thanks for chiming in.

I vote for CL. Just got one myself, but it's carbon fiber. I'm also a big fan of color matching.

Smile Grille it is..

Go for the grille. I like that look much better, gives it an more aggressive and sporty look.

flat hood emblem is a must, now for the grille, i vote no CL. Unless you can get a CL grille style without the star. (which means my grille, but no it wont' fit sedan =) )

I like the CL grill, but for me it was more about the carbon fiber. I love carbon fiber.

i think it looks good depending on the bumper all the pics up are of the c230 bumper which i think looks alot better then the 240 bumper so in my opinion the star grille on that bumper just doesnt work right

No leave it as is. I think the CL grille only works if you had an add on piece on the bumper or a CF lip on the ///AMG bumper. It doesn't fit in on the stock luxury C-class bumper in my opinion.

I see what everyone's saying...At first I was thinking to myself why everyone was saying no, when it seems like many people have gone with CL grilles, but it looks extremely nice with the AMG bumpers. I can see the grille sticking out like a sore thumb on my c240 bumper.....

I see what you guys are saying about the AMG bumper, I was thinking the same thing, but the ebay pics I posted are with a very similar bumper to mine and I think it pulls it off just fine... hmmmmm.... I'm on the fence. I just want the front of the car to look more sporty / aggressive from the front.

I had the CL grille on my car for several months on my 2005 C230K with AMG body kit. I then got tired of it and switched back to stock for a more clean look.
If you want an aggressive look that screams out with the Mercedes big star, then do what YOU like and not what OTHERS think. Your going to get some and others who will say

IMO the CL grill gives it a sportier more aggressive look. It also differentiates yours from majority of C classes you see on the road.

The standard grill on the other hand I think gives the car a more classier luxurious look to it and but it's just like everyone else's.

I have however gotten compliments from friends and people with my CL grill and they say it looks a lot better. The good thing is it shouldn't be that hard to sell the CL grill if I decide later on I don't like it anymore. It's not much of a lo$$ if I cant sell, since it's really not expensive.

I got mine from this seller. They probably get them from the same manufacturer. Comes with extended hood latch also.

I'm going to go with a NO on this one. IMHO it looks out of place and slightly awkard. It's so much cleaner stock.

if you got the AMG sports package then the CL grill looks good with certain colors but I see you have the luxury package like mine I suggest you leave it as-is becasue your car looks classy not sporty IMO

Altered CL Grille

I've had my cf CL grille for a week now and of course the chrome had to go, except for the star which would be difficult since it's a distronic look-a-like.
What do you think?
