My honest opinion when it comes to rims. Don't ever buy them thinking of the now. Save the money and get a good set that you'll be happy with for a long time. It'll be less painful in the long run. Took me 2 years to save up and decide.

Edit: Carlsson's are like my dream wheels, but no matter how much I like them I couldn't imagine spending over $4000 just on rims.
In all seriousness, I've never heard of that other brand ever. The Milleniums, as Blake said, are made by a very reputable company that has been around for a long time.
Kev is neither the first nor the last to get those rims, so it's not exactly like they are completely "unique". Despite your being in the same city, the rims are not exactly the most expensive things and it's a big reason why many people get them. They look nice, they're inexpensive and they're made by a reputable company.
Now, just realize that there are SO many more options out there for 1 piece forged rims that are more affordable than you may think that could suit your style. Like I said earlier, take your time, look through as many magazines, read as many threads as possible, etc...Then, once you've done that, narrow down your choices. Eventually, you'll get to something that's exactly what you want.
If you just get rims, just to get rims...you're doing yourself a BIG disservice.
Also, I know this word seems to be taboo to you guys, but even if I could find some higher quality Carlsson style reps that would be another option too. Every wheel I've found that says "forged" anywhere in the name goes for at least $1K per wheel, perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong places?
BTW, my main rush to get rims isn't to just have rims, one of my rims is extremely bent and I figured might as well just swap them off ASAP.
Here's a link to the wheels http://www.zenetti.com/html/2007/ind...eelID=7&carID=
After looking around a bit more I did realize that these wheels in particular aren't forged, although the company does make forged wheels... just not this series. So what do you all think? If you want to see them on a C-class they even have a little "virtual garage" app that lets you do that without all the photoshop hassle.
Edit: If THIS doesn't scream quality, I don't know what does.
