I'm thinking about what kind of center caps I should get for these. I'm going to the dealer tommorow to buy some or just at least to see what kind they have. I was hoping they have maybe that grey color center cap that the S65 SL65 and CL65's have on their rims. If not, does anyone else have any suggestions?

I was wondering, among the MB preparators, which are the most light weight wheels in 18"?

Any place I could find the weights of theses wheels? They don't mention it on their website...

I know there is a website out there

Exclamation

It literally takes 2.5-3 hrs to read through this whole thread. I should know. I don't know whether to be proud or embarassed that I actually read through all 1443 posts.

In the 2+ yrs that this thread has been active, no one has bothered to summarize anything....until now. The basic consensus from member posts suggests the following:

- If you want to ask members if a set of rims you're looking at will fit your car, provide no less than the following information:

Your car model/trim
Year
Suspension (stock/coilover/sport springs)
Budget
Do you have bbk (big brake kit/amg sport package calipers)?
Name of the company that makes the rims.
Style of the rims.
Offset
Staggered?
Front lip depth
Rear lip depth (if staggered)
Lastly, a photo would be nice.

- If the bolt pattern isn't exactly 5x112, nothing else will matter. It won't fit.
- 9" is the max width for the front. Some have managed 9.5". One guy did 10" with a wide body kit.
- 10' is the max width for the rear. The same wide body kit guy managed a wopping 12" back there.
- Front lip depth can be no more than 1.5"
- Rear lip depth can be 2-3" max.
- Bore size is 66.6
- et36 means offset 36
- Not all staggered setups have a deeper dish in the back than the front.
- 17" is stock and recommended only if you don't change your suspension.
- 18" is for performance
- 19" is for looks
- 20" will get you props (post #546)
- ADR rims are heavy.
- Those with strict budgets should check the classified section for available rims for sale.
- Depending on the rims you get, you may need longer/short bolts that may or may not come with your rims.
- If you mess up with the sizing, spacers are your friend.
- Recommended offset is 32-35
- The angle and thickness of the rim spoke design matters for clearing the calipers (that's why a photo would be very helpful)
- TSW Bremma is the double 5-spoke AMG lookalike you're looking for.
- Don't even think about asking a question in this thread until you've at least taken advantage of the links that Drexappeal has provided on page 1 of this thread.

Disclaimer: I'm a newb. I am not an expert on rims. I didn't know squat until I read the thread in its entirety. I have no proof that the above is true. I've never even bought rims before. This post is merely a translation of the previous 1000+ posts. Members, please feel free to argue, correct, change or add any of the above summarized information.
