Not exactly. Fixed piston calpers are fatter so they have clearance issues with the spokes of the wheel. Even if a wheel is the correct size and offset, your front brake calipers stick out so far it may hit on the spokes of the wheel.

My car was the test mule for the 230K SS TEIN suspension. Since I had the 2004.5, I had upgraded springs already and they were able to get a better drop percentage off all the products they offer for suspension as compared to other manufacturers (H&R and Eibach were the earliest ones).

Anyhow, the TEIN Basic's give you about the same feeling in ride comfort as the Sport Suspension. Honestly, do a lot more research prior to your deciding on a setup. You'll be happier in the long run, based on people's experiences.
I read alot more and i think i might go with the tein basic since its adjustable too. I was also reading about the Tein SS which lets you decide the "stiffness" of the ride as well.. I belive the tein basic damper should do justtt right. Thanks for the advice!

New rim fitment question...!!!

I've got a set I'm lookin to buy and this company says they'll fit my '05 c230...however I was kind of skeptical since the rear offset is 40...

The sizes are 19x8.5 30et and 19x9.5 40et...please help!

also does the higher offsets mean more or less clearance?

higher offset means that they're tucked in more. They're probably going to run a 5mm spacer with ET40.

all depends. Make sure they're at least hubcentric.

now the guy is sending me spacers...how do I know for sure if they're hubcentric? is there a way to tell? he's sending them free and I just want to be confident before putting them on my car.

40 offset is wrong for the car. Spacers need to be hub & wheel centric. It should say so on the packaging but it's a pity you have had to go this route. You'll soon know if they are not hub & wheel centric. You will have vibration.

It's a unique color for W203 and those wheels look really big since it has no lips. NICE overall

Thanks everybody, yes they are staggered 19x8.5,19x9.5 '09 CL replicas, 235/35, 265/30. Stock sport suspension, i rub front and back, so I need to roll before changing suspension to Teins.

I had stock suspension with my 19s, same setup like yours and rubbed a little in the rears over big bumps in high speed. Then, I installed Eibach springs after, stock shocks and less rubbing in the rears

I have Tein Basic now and rubbed pretty often over certain bumps in low/high speed if I had 2/3 people sitting at the back. PLUS, I have some sound system stuffs in the trunk now.

I do know how to solve/reduce the problem tho, I need 245s in the rears

I rub a little in the fronts againts the wheel cover..

I have ET 35 R BTW..

yeuchau has some nice black rims on his black car:

I personally like these!! A plus to these is that you can take the MB caps off your stock rims and put them on these rims. Mandrus makes rims specifically for Mercedes cars.

have a look through the picture thread as well as the wheel thread. also look in the same two threads in the AMG W203 section also- from an appearance standpoint, they are pretty much the same car.
