you're probably just driving harder without knowing because the maintenance freed up some hp.

+1 - I strongly recommend the Bosch OE plug. Don't buy plugs & wires from the dealer. Ask KrisV420 where he got his wires. They were fine

Thanks Kris - just wanted to check. Someone bought new wires the other day that did not work well & required to be returned. You know we drive fussy cars!!!

Should throw a fuel trim code - have you checked for pending codes. Clean the MAF

I would still clean the MAF if you are worried about over oiling the K&N filter. Please tell us what plugs you fitted. Please check the threaded length of the plugs you removed vs those that you fitted. Also check the tip protrusion of the plugs you fitted vs the OE plugs. We recently had a member fit the wrong length plugs. This shrouds the spark & affects flame front propagation.

hey guys i'm having trouble removing the last spark plug on the driver side rear of the engine. Any tips on how to remove it? i tried putting in the spark plug adapter first and then attatched an extension on and used a stubby ratchet and it still won't move. it's okay if i changed out 11/12 spark plugs and jsut call it a day lol?

You must change that plug. This is where the genuine tool helps. Have to tried an angle drive?

no i have not....i spent literally an hour on that plug. i tired putting in spark plug adapter, extension, socket, .....i even tired a small ratchet that bends at the head but still no luck. it seems like it's just not enough clearance for me to turn the ratchet.

nope i only changed the coil pack and just tested it. I bought another coil pack instead of the wires. I think i might have ended up buying the wrong part. Unforteunately i can't bring this item back to the dealer. my buddy has a crashed clk for parts. i'm gonna use the coil wires from it and see if that works rather than going back to the dealer to buy wires.

Sounds like a good plan. Having a spare coil around is no bad thing. You'll need it sooner or later if you intend keeping the car.

Are you sure you don't have a suspect engine mount if all else is OK?

hmmm maybe.....I looked at eh engine and it wasn't shaking....so i'm not sure if it's the engine mount. I'm thinking it could be the wires. since i only change 2 of them. there's still 10 of them that could potentially be bad or about to go.
