recall - camshaft - 2002 W203
recall notice # 2009100001
has anyone else received this call to?

I have an appointment to have this issue fixed next week.
What Motor do you have?
I had started up a thread at the time, and at the time, no one else had received it.
Driving newer c class loaners makes me appreciate my car. The girly interior is too much for me.

If you can, I'd appreciate knowing what work procedures they list.

Post Script - Called up Fletcher Jones, yep they have a recall. However, she didn't mention much about what in particular they are looking at. I'm honestly a bit clueless about whats up.
Made an apt for Monday, and yep I get a loaner car.

I did find a post where someone mentions that it is the magnet, cover and wiring. I remember getting something like this done some time back. But when I called the SA told me my car needed to be done.

Can somebody try & get hold of a copy of the TSB/recall & scan it in for overseas members. Benz will never do a recall outside the US & a TSB will help some of our non US members get Benz to fix their time bomb if they can show precedent.

My car has 214000km on it and I'm the third owner, that could turn them off.
Just to make sure, is it for M111?
and i posted pics of this when i had to do this myself on my wife's c230 M111 on another thread

I'm sick of forking up the $ and time to make these repairs myself and then later have recalls surface (as did with the camshaft solenoid/pigtail catastrophe).
