The Truth about Netherlands Setting
what are the steps for them to get both the alarm beep and panic button?
thanks
I can't give you the rest of the information because what we do and have may not be what they can do or have. The software varies by which hardware, which month of software you have, etc.

IMS has nothing to do with the chirping/beeping...as long as a car (203) has the towing alarm - it can beep/chirp when (un)locking

greetingz,
Steve, how do we know if we have towing alarm or not? is it one of the button that show the towing car on the center interior?
Also, is it right that if we enable the netherland setting, we will have some problem in the future and is it hard to set back to original setting?
Do you happen to know what setting the W203 in Asia has? How hard would you rate (1-10) to do this change?
Thanks in advance

greetingz,
Steve, how much would you or Scorchie charge to do such an activation?? maybe lunch

the activation of the lock - unlock chirp can be done separately without setting to netherlands setting...you can even change the number of chirps and chirp when you (un)lock with the door open...as long as one has a modified stardiagnose - the chirp can be set without setting to NL setting.

greetingz,
how much would it cost if anything to do such a change in the settings?
- faster frequency for locking 3-beep
- 1-beep unlock for each door
- continuous beep if you lock with door(s) open
- retain panic button alarm (ear piercing) w/ FLASHING lights
this was on a 2003 CL203 (C320 Sport Coupe).
Thanks guys !

greetingz,
carlos, does ur alarm go off when u leave the car, wait 15 seconds and open the door again before locking the car?
Let me go try.
I'll be right back......
and I can't get the alarm to go off just by waiting 15 seconds and opening the door before locking. Doesn't make sense, unless you program it to do that for some reason. If the car is unlocked, why would the alarm go off ?
What happens when I try to lock the car with any door open, is a continuous beep but NO alarm.
maybe I'm confused !?!
do a search, then go down to the dealer
