Bi-Xenon dealer activation
Hey guys I need to find a friendly dealership that will activate my bi-xenons for me. I know some of you have had trouble with that but just a heads up if anybody knows of a good dealership in southern california that would do it for me. Or if there is a way to do it my self (which I highly doubt, because ill most likely need to tap into something) Thanks people!

Yap.
I done it with Rod too but you have to be Mercedes' OEM Xenon system and not those aftermarket Xenon kit. And also Mr. Cummins can help if is too far from you.

Bi xenon problems
Hi,
I bought my bi xenon set from steve. The problem is that the bi xenons are not really blue in color, even though they are brite and they are somewhat white in color. Does any body know why ? Is there such a thing like you need to light up the bulbs for certain period of hours then the bulbs will break into blue ?
And is it possible for me to change the bulbs or something like that ?
thanks,
Charles

Thats normal, mine was like that too ... It'll get a tad whiter after a good >30hours. It won't be as blue as Lexus, Honda or BMW xenon tho.
You can change the bulb (D2S) with a higher temperature (6000K) .... this will make the colour of your bi-xenon like those in BMW

Thanks Bajaiman for the explainations. So about changing the bulbs thing. I am still not quite sure. Do you have any link where i can take a look what exactly they look like or i can purchase (ebay links may work for me too) ? You mean i can simply switch the bulbs from my bi xenon with the b2s bulbs ?

One of the cheapest replacement D2S bulbs I can find is from www.misterjung.com
I'm sure changing xenon D2S bulbs is just as easy as changing normal bulbs altho I haven't done it. A few people in this forum have changed their xenon bulbs I believe.

The color temp that is stock is the best to use. By going higher and more blue you will actually see less. They do not need to be blue unless you are doing it just for looks. Just because they are blue on Lexus and BMW does not mean they are the best. It is all about Color Temp, not color of the light. Our eyes need certain color temp to see properly, and thus my MB chose the ones they did. 6000 is not bad and you will most likely not really notice a diference, but why spend the money for a color change when what you have is perfectly fine. I would wait for when the bulbs actually burn out, but that could be a few years time...... This is just my opinion, of course you are going to do what you want to and that is fine by me. I personally like the more white look of our lights compared to the BMW and Lexus ones. I can tell when a Benz comes at me with Bi-Xenons, it makes us stand out from the other guys......

bone stock E55 AMG
my wife's honda has blueish xenons.... not sure of the exact temp, but more than 5500k for sure... it's brighter than stock w/o a doubt, but it's not as bright as bi-xenons...
dunno about lexus, but bimmers are very bright too... they look blueish from outside, but look more white when u drive...

its always , the "other" that loooks "better", trust me ive had a BMW, a number of audis and now a MB with xenons, and the other ones always seem to be more blue. A lot of the time its the angle they are pointed at, when you are close to the car, xenons wont appear that blue, but at a distance and the right angle they will be just blue. Also, xenons are extremely blue when they are first fired up, once heated, they get more white hot than blue....which is a good thing.

Bi-Xenon Protection
Has anyone used the X-pel or any other protective cover for their
Bi-Xenon lights?
I'm thinking about putting something on my Bi-Xenons before the rocks attack....any thoughts on this. I've heard they may yellow over time...is this true?
