Bi-X: W203/CL203 OEM Bi-XENON Upgrade, Auto-Levelling & Programming thread
The pics form John in the thread about how to set xenon to present are dead. Just wondering if anyone still has the instructions on how to change the setting through DAS.
Thanks!

2. Control Unit Adapations
3. Read Coding and change if necessary
4. All Codes
5. Xenon Headlamp- (Change to "present")
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I just had some Bi-X's put in by Steve, MBenzNL.
Great guy. Even unlocked a few of the functions Mercedes Benz so weirdly turned off... such as the Date function

But enough of how great Steve is.
My question is...
What or how should the Beam of the BiX's look like when they're set properly?
Does anyone have a photo they could share?
I've seen some photos before... but i'm not sure where they are before, or if they're what I'm even looking for.
I was driving and I noticed that my right side beam went slightly further than my left side... but that was on the freeway, and I couldn't really adjust there =P
I'd try it on a garage door and try to make them look exactly alike... but I'd rather get a photo of the "Correct" way rather than fail multiple times and getting frustrated

And are the beams supposed to be sky blue at start-up, then warm up to almost yellow~ish output against the wall/ground, but still completely white when looking at the bulb?
Because mine is oddly blue'er on the left, and more yellow on the right. Lol.
New toys are sooo fun!
Thanks~

As for the pattern, the right one should go slightly further in the US. The left one is always lower to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

Colour temperature can vary until they settle down - it depends on how the lens focusses on the arc. Mine have been blue from new & have not changed noticeably
In that case, Steve probably had them right the first time around, and I tinkered with it a little to try and 'even' them out.
Guess I'll be blinding people on the freeway now

But I really won't know until it's dark.
Sometimes I don't like daylight savings, because it won't get dark until... 8ppm+
Although its OE self-aiming hardware is intact and functional, manual adjustments have been necessary on several occasions to account for changes in effective tire height and chassis rake. Almost certain Steve left you in good stead with your installation. Proper light patterns are imperative to avoid blinding oncoming motorists and fully exploit the modification. Wouldn’t want Glyn M Ruck to consider you a “menace” on the road. =)
MB’s workshop instructions are exceedingly obtuse and esoteric, as is often the case, so there’s not sense sharing them here. One can glean enough from Daniel Stern’s DOT-specified aiming guidelines to verify and fine tune adjustments if need be, regardless of lamps’ initial design specifications or country of origin.

You'll love your Bix - try & put them back where Steve set them & work from there.
Listen to splinter
I always set mine a little higher because I live in suburb community that doesn't have street lamp and also because I like people move out of the way when I'm behind them. lmao.

50 bucks a pair! Too bad not for coupe....damn...still, those with Bix on sedan, this would be something I would buy and set aside.

be dead in the water. The 'frosty' part of the light is what concentrates and directs the light.(think Fresnel lenses on lighthouses)
