need help choosing tire
Hey guys, I need to get new rear tires and was wondering what were some nice tires with a budget of $220 per tire. I'm leaning towards the Pirelli p-zero nero. Let me know what you guys use. Thanks

You can get a great tire for about half that price.
Some of the C63 guys used these on there track day and they had nothing but positive things to say about them.

This Hankook tire also has been getting incredible reviews and the price in incredible.

The first tire is for the 17" stock size and the second is for the 18".

I usually buy my tires from Discount tire, but I know have a friend who opened a car audio/performance shop and he can get me great deals on tires. He tries to sell me Falkens though.
My next tires will be the Dunlops. If I don't order them directly from Tirerack, I'll have Discount order them.

Just my 2 cents worth based on my recent experience.
I tried the Pirellis Pzero Nero M+S for a few miles and had them replaced immediately because they are as noisy as used Pirelli Pzeros.
I am fairly satisfied with the Bridgestone RE760 Sport.

Are you noise concious? If you are and don't want to pay Michelin PS2 prices then get a set of Good Year F1 Asymmetrics
Recently won tyre of the year in Europe. It's a PS2 copy & excellent

tires on a budget is alwayz good for the wallet... if u have a staggard setup, fairly priced tires is good cause u can't rotate them anywayz and therefore, u have to changed them frequently... depending on your driving habits of course... (20-30,000 average).... falken 452 and hankook v12 are very decent tires for the price and quality.... just my 2.25 cent...

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I had 18" PZero Nero M+S on my last car. If you want a really quiet tire get those. I was able to get 30,000 miles out of them too. My buddy had the non M+S. They were really good too. They didn't last as long though.

Personally, I would never put a 2nd tier brand tire on a Benz, or anything else, other than a beater, even thought they are quite good. Yeah, I'm a brand snob - especially when it comes to tires.

Getting the long deal is one thing, but something even more important is, can the tire store mount the tires without damaging the wheels? This is a big issue with big tires and big wheels and the average tire monkey is not always used to dealing with fragile wheels. It's one thing to be mounting tires on SUVs, pickups and various throwaway cars like Camrys and Accords all day long, but wrestling a wide tire onto a $900 wheel is something else again.
I always ask, can you mount these tires on those wheels without any damage? The answer will always be yes and there is your guarantee.

I'm a big believer in quality..and trust me that has nothing to do with the name on the sidewall.
I'm def gonna give the Hankooks a try.
