C300. milage for an oil change?
By the way, I asked a local shop for the cost of oil change while washing my car there. They gave 100. sounds reasonable? oh. they said they would use Mobile1 synthetic.
Thanks in advance.

use 0w40 keep your engine happy
your service indicator will monitor oil condition and somewhere around 10k miles tell you it's time.
The W204 system does not monitor oil condition and the service indicator is time and mileage based only. My W203 claimed to have an oil condition sensor and after I ran a test comparing actual mileage vs time-to-change by the display, I concluded it was of zero value.
MB says, change the recommended synthetic oil at 10K miles provided the OE fleece filter (or equivalent) is used.

Did they change it again and not inform me?

0w30 castrol is 229.5 also but it is meant for cold climates starts down to -40f
I know the dealers had switched for a time to saying the 229.51 was also approved but that has changed.(me thinks
)as you can see even the pennzoil chart shows 229.5 in 5w30 again a cold weather oil
and shows spec 229.51 as a diesel oil low ash and different

Should be in your manual
or somebody here can tell you.
I can send you a link to the reset procedure or how to pull up the menu or an online manual if you don't have one.
Curious that AMG continues to profess it’s appropriate for use in their M156 iterations, particularly after Affalterbach’s wizards pissed away many a € on (legitimate) warranty replacement claims for undue hydraulic follower wear and other faulty lubrication-induced (piston-to-cylinder) noises. Mine have done rather well with various OTC HTHS formulations, what with their additional dose of EPA-approved Phosphorus/Zinc and all. ymmv.
Does any of it amount to a hill of beans in a pedestrian M272 that’s soon destined to be sent downstream? No.
