Seems you have the same kinda lady on your hands that I have on mine. A walking example of why we endearingly call 'em ladies "Car Guys".
I mean, if mine (since the day we met) isn't trying to out-wrestle or out-grapple me (read: kick my butt), she's looking to out-drive me like she's some new up & coming F1 driver name Louise Hamilton.
Needless to say, riding shotgun is crazy fun if not sometimes terrifying, but that's where our self-tightening seat belts come in quite handy.
- Damn, sister, slow down!! What's the rush?
- You be quiet. I'm drivin' today; you just rock the tunes and shut up.
- Dear Lord, Please let this 4matic keep us outta the ditch....and don't encourage her, please.
Oh, these car nut, sports nut ladies!! Got love 'em. (Translation: I think we've hit the jackpot.

Glad to read this, because yes, I've noticed this. Thought it may be something wrong with one of my tires, but now I'm guessing there's no problem at hand here.

I just put a set on my 300 and they feel terrific on the car. Very smooth and quiet with great grip. Big improvement over the RF's. Unfortunately the fronts for the 18" are discontinued. Tire Rack still has them in inventory though. Rears are still in production. No problems with 19's though.

Yes, she may try to assert her girl power dominance on you periodically (emphasis on try)
![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Well, suffice to say when you need her she'll always have your back, but unfortunately (for them) is also prone to jump in even when it's not really needed. And you'll go......Hold on, babe, I got this. Mercy is not her strong suit. For example: Yes, I know she got her face smashed in not too long ago, but think Ronda Rousey (or Meisha or Holly for that matter); a lady like that. Or Wonder Woman if you prefer.
Last but not least, thanks for adding that very important bit of clarity, Mike. No, we will not be having any of that.

Uh-oh...got off topic and now I have to throw up. I'm gone.

My wife hated the idea of me getting a Mercedes, until I got home with it. She is difficult to impress, but she was floored when she saw it in person. When I took her for a drive she loved the crackling exhaust noise too. As some of you already know, my car stopped popping on Tuesday. She ****ing noticed last night when we took a drive. She looks over at me and says, " what's wrong with your car, it's doesn't sound the same". I think she might leave me for a c63 owner now! Rallye motors better figure this **** out on Monday.

I am not going to accept, "the car is operating normally". I have 200 miles on the car and suddenly it's not driving the same was it was upon delivery. If according to Mercedes the car "creates a controlled backfire on overrun", then that is how it should operate. It's as if the car is still adding the fuel but not retarding the timing. I say this because when you let off the throttle, it feels like I'm getting kicked in the *** a little. Its also "surging" between low throttle upshifts.

They gave me a lot of baloney. I ranted a page or two back, you can click me and see the posts. It ranged form " Your car does not have code 165 option" to "none of the C450 on our lot make that noise". It is Ok if they do not know and have to research. It is them giving me BS answers hoping I will take the bait and go way hat irked me the most. I proved them wrong on bot point and they are now "researching". I got in touch with MB USA and started a case. Nothing has been resolved yet but with the additional cars reporting the same thing I believe it will be.
I am holding off on a tune for now, in the event it is ECU related and they swap it.
Keep us updated on how it goes for you.

That's true. If I told my wife I couldn't wait to get home for some yum yum she'd presume we were going out to get ice cream.
But when we were about twenty years younger... Ya know, I still think she'd be thinking about ice cream.

Summer tires
So I called my Mercedes dealership to find out about summer tires and they said that Mercedes Benz only approves the Continental summer tires that came up in his system(don't remember exact name) he says if I get other brands and if something goes wrong because of the tire, it would void the warranty? Are they telling the truth? Why am I forced to get a particular brand of tire?

No he's an idiot.
As long as the tire meets or exceeds the speed and load rating you will be good.

The law is clear that a manufacturer cannot void a warranty because the car was serviced elsewhere or that non OEM parts were used.
