I think this would be the best option!

Erick is working on a fix...stay tuned.

Smart asses

So any downside to running the pulley in its current configuration? I know that IAT's get a bit warm at the top of the pull and some timing is lost but how about the overall gains as compared to running a bit less boost? How do you expect the dyno's to look when comparing the current LET pulley to one running 20psi? Or do the changes not involve the pulley?

so it is the pulley that is oversized? thought the one they make right now was suppose to be around 19 and half lbs of boost... mis-calculation perhaps?

didn't jerry talked about the maximum boost our charger could handle was around 19-20 max?

ASP all ready makes one - granted they have questionable workmanship.

incorrect...ASP, Renntech and Evosport are all the same size...

i tried to get Lee from ASP to make a bigger pulley back when i first got the car, but he declined...

the clutch on the supercharger starts to slip around 23-24psi, Vadim proved this already...it is also around the max of the rpm that the supercharger can take...

the current configuration is safe enough to not hurt the supercharger but allow you to run max boost...

Yeah, the maximum RPM is 19000 - 20000....I think. The S/C can handle the boost / RPM, it's the clutch that gives.

My bad, I must of been thinking of the E55 pulley being 2 more psi than the competition.

20psi of boost WOW. The last cat I had running this amount of boost (18psi exactly)was an RB30 Nissan 3L straight 6 single OHC with Garret T04 dynoed at 360RWHP in 1989.

Has anyone tried larger screws in the supercharger may be off the E55?

Hey Zeppelin:

I have spoke with ASP, and they are not aweare of ANY workmanship issues, and will give me my money back if I am not satisfied with their pulley/quality. I am not sure what the hype was about their products, but they do start with a NEW MB Harmonic balancer, which is why is costs so much. They are willing to use my old one to save $400 bucks, but I am going with a new one, since there are issues with the MB balancer to begin with, FYI

See yeah

PS: I will start a new thread regaurding Gains, and workmanship of their product when I receive it.

neihouma - I took the car back to GRD and it put down the same numbers as before the heads.

I had carchip running the whole time I on the dyno.

Take a look at the low boost readings and check out the IAT's with the LET pulley and upgraded HE. The IAT's would rise, and then fall as soon as the run was over. Glad to see the cooling system was working.

On the graphs you can see the 3 3rd gear pulls (95 MPH) and then the 1 4th gear pull (over 120mph). You can also see that it took us 7 trys to get 4th to stick.

Can you have your data logger log the exact same items as mine and do a few runs next time you have a chance?

Done.

1) Speed
2) PSI
3) Timing
4) IAT
5) Plot / AFR (lb/s)

In exchange get me a copy of Adobe Pro jk. I should be
getting my car back Tuesday. Dropped it off this morning
to my mechanic to do a few things to it, gonna PM you &
Erick later of the things.

Gonna schedule a dyno on Friday

Any updates?

I am ready to order the LET pulley but am waiting to see what the outcome of the current round of work is concerning IAT's is.

I know that I'm not a good candidate for before and after, but I gained 27whp using the LET pulley vs. the Renntech pulley.

So far, I have not been that affected by high IAT's. In fact, the car is cooling better than I thought it would. The only cooling upgrade that I have installed is the cobra heat exchanger. I have a johnson pump, but I won't have it installed until this weekend.

I'm taking the car to the track this weekend.

The pic below is showing my IAT's over a 20 minute dyno session in 83 degree weather. They were using 2 small fans.

Hey Jerry

When you go to the track please let me know cause I would like to go but would like you to drive my car in a couple of runs if not all to get the current E.T for 0-60 and quarter mile. So if its cool please give me advance notice.

Nice gain. Isn't Eric having issues with running too much boost and having issues with the MAP maxing out and timing being pulled due to high IAT's?
