If funds are available do a before and after install dyno...the thread talks that it takes 10-15 minutes to replace or install and since you have already done it once then it should take less time...without a dyno you are going exclusively by feel and even a Sprintbooster can give you that feeling of faster...

This is what interest me the most! Please check thoroughly with any POSSIBLE belt slippage...or POSSIBLE shredding of the belt...

With the C3 S/C pulley already in place, what is the max size crank pulley can upgrade to?
With the 185 crank pulley, the S/C spins to almost max at some gears.

Not sure if Brandon's actually released (i.e. posted) the Code3 S/C pulley's diameter, however... anyone who could measure one care to chime in, so we can "do the math" posted in post #8?
TIA!

I want to see a video of somebody with the pulley & intake mod on. Really anxious to hear the sound. It may be ricey (?) but I love the supercharger whine or a good turbo hiss.

Sorry that happened to you...did you do a prior write-up about this issue you had? Because its first I heard of this....Just like the S/C pulley had an issue possibly I can see any crank pulley having an issue also....but its not that common by what I read or as you stated about yourself. Every new thing will have some failure in it but its only one thus far and there might be a valid reason to why not the products fault...but lets see what all say cause that will be the average maker....
My ODPS failure occured in 12/06.
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...=odps+topgun32
since then.. I have fixed all the issues on the C32, except the seat modules and SRS light on my dash.
The E55 is running great. However my 2nd air pump went out again. So its back at the dealer today.
I have learned to live with the aches and pains of owning these cars and I have avoided paying major $$ by using local mechanics and buying my own parts (used or new). Also I have learned to research anything before making any clonclusions.
*quick udpate
My wife took the car to work yesterday. Upon her return, put the spot light on my belt once more. No signs of wear, no black powdery stuff, no signs of tear.
Wife just keep saying how the C32 is running great!

Don't take it personal...I been a member of this forum since feb 2006 and never noticed it. But that is one time so care to mention all other C32 crank pullies issues cause I don't recall any besides yours...I really like all the feedbacks on this S/C and intake mod from most everyone but you I can't say I trust...cause you and C3P and Mido and any other unknown members have been working together on this so please leave room for others to provide feedback and stop concluding I want to reek havoc or something!
If I took your comment the wrong way sorry! And if I did just say so and don't make it bigger...

All he said was he's learned to do his research before making any conclusions on mods...

I wasn't sure which one you were talking about then and still don't know which pulley you are talking about now. 4 major pulley with the evosport kit are aluminum, crank, water pump, alternator, and power steering and only the 2 tensioner pulley has bearings in them. the 4 major pulley don't use bearings. the smaller tensioner pulley broke when the bearing fell apart on my car. no damage was done to the car and the belt wasn't even damage. the smaller tensioner was known to have problems btw.
maybe you were talking about the larger tensioner pulley and not the water pump pulley? just want to clear things up.

If you want pictures of the water pump cover I still have it.. just in case you have any doubts.
I also have emails to Evosport (conversations with Brad the owners son) and conversations with Vadim.
I think you are right it might be a tensioner pulley.

As I said if that one specific comment was taken wrong by me then sorry! I erased comment so others won't be offended or take it the wrong way(AS I SUGGEST YOU DO)...besides that I have no issue.

I learned from my mistakes and I learned to research my way of things I used to think were important.
Like plugs and wires, or exhaust system or learned to research that I don't need to pay $500 to tune up my car.
No where did I mention "research mods"..
My focus has been to get my cars back in working order.

back to the topic on hand.
One more day of use and one more day with nothing to report on the belt.
I pushed the car pretty hard today.. mostly street pulls from 0-80
nothing to report.
The reason I think the belt issue is important, is due to the fact my wife drives the car every other day... and I can have her loose power on the freeway or driving the kids.
So far.. belt looks normal.

I think sprintbooster only gives me better thorttle response especially off the line, while the SC pulley gives me tangible power. I had a couple of hard runs at 3 gear today and I believe the sc pulley along shaved at least a second or 2 off from 50-100mph. As for the dyno test, I guess brandon will take care of it.
btw, my 2-month-old belt is still in good shape. and I didn't have any belt slippage during the hard runs today.

it was the plastic looking pulley that bolts on to the water pump cover. My water pump bolt broke and took a big chuck of the water pump when the bearings failed.
If you want pictures of the water pump cover I still have it.. just in case you have any doubts.

nvm...saw ur second quick post. yea, that's the larger tensioner pulley. i haven't had any problem with that one.
