Euro Convex Mirrors Installed

Just replaced my mirrors with these; Thanks to gr8 customer service from MBenzNL -I no longer have a blind spot.

Heres the DIY; Took 10 min to install.

Its kind of hard to see in these pics but the outer part is curved. I am able to see 3 lanes over now.

Atleast the Spintbooster gives you a sensation of something.....don't be offended its a cool mod I just wouldn't expect that much for it I think the Bixenon he offers are the best price he has on anything.

Illegal in America. Ford recently announced they will have blind spot mirrors on the 2009 models. Heres a link to an MSNBC article. At the very bottom it states a federal standard that requires original-equipment driver’s side mirrors to be flat.

Update...

Ok, I just got the mirrors in.

The mirrors look great - the housings do not.

I dont know if they are for MY99 and earlier but they dont look or fit as well as OEM.

I guess you get what you pay for

it looks like an aftermarket...
part is not standard MB OEM part #...

Yep - they will be going back tommorrow -

They sure do the job nicely though - the test fit gave me a nice wide field of view that totally eliminated the blinds.

The problem is they just dont look / fit as well as OEM (doesnt snap into place) and there is no connector to whatever it is on the OEM.

I can just imagine what would happen if I used double sided tape and JB Weld wouldnt work if I ever needed to remove them. The MB engineers made these mirrors snap on / off for a reason.

I just cant see $316 for these right now but razormb's looks so sweet!
