I’m fairly sure my brake pads will need to be changed next servicing. The advisor told me when that happens my rotors need to be changed as well.
I go back to the dealer for servicing as I feel they do the best work and I had a bad experience at an Indy shop.
Whats a good price for brake pads and rotors for all 4? I have a 2017 C43. I believe they told me $1,050 when I asked before.
Bonus question - I need new tires and know they will push an alignment. I have about 50k miles, do I need an alignment yet? How much will that run?
Go to rockauto or anyother part store and price out your brake parts. Add 1 hr labor per corner (should be way less like 30mins) times that by what your local area charges say $100 per hour and you will get the norm.
Do them yourself. I did mine a few months ago and had no problems whatsoever. I was also able to paint the rotors while I had them off. And I went with these guys product.
In need of pads here too...anyone know what the front rotor minimum thickness is on stock rotors? Mine have developed a deep lip on the outer edge so its tough to get an accurate caliper reading to see how thick my rotors are. Car has 95k on it and they seem to be original.

You don't have to buy new rotors when you change your pads. At 50k miles I highly doubt you need to change the rotors, measure it or ask a shop to measure it before you change anything. To be honest I think dealerships have **** quality service but that doesn't mean the mechanic shops are any better. You either have to find a trusted place or do it yourself. I bought front break pads, rear pads, and sensors for $350 Canadian for my 2017 C43 and changed them in like 2 hours.
You probably don't need an alignment but if you notice the steering or suspension being off then you can go in for one. The dealership charges $300 something Canadian for AWD alignment. I wouldn't bother unless you notice something off.

Do you have 95k miles or km?
I don't know the minimum thickness but if you don't notice vibrations in the steering wheel when you break or other things like that your still good.
PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
To add to forum member TLADILA, I came across this image posted by forum member user33 before, it is an image of the wear indicators on our rotors. As long as you don't reach such thickness, you should be fine.

this is awesome...learn something new everyday! Will take a look in the morning to see as i have never noticed those wear indicators (although never looked hard enough)
thanks for the intell!
My front rotors made it to the second pad change, the rear rotors still with more life to go. My mileage is probably worse than most as we live in stop-and-go-land (to go anywhere from my house, I pretty much have 4 stop signs and 2 traffic lights in 1.5 miles, so continues stop and go), so I'm probably not a good benchmark, but I got roughly 45k miles on the front rotors.
