DVD In Motion - Actual Program Language for our Radio

I can only assume the DVD In Motion topic has been beat to death. I have found some modules that you can add to your car which allows you to play video while you are in motion. I see this as us adding hardware to our systems in order to reach our goal.

I want to change the software instead. I am a computer science major, and all we do is write code. I wanted to know if there is a way to where I can see the written program which determines how this multimedia package works? I would wanna see if the code is writable so I can write new code in to allow video output while the car is in motion.

I hope you figure out the NAV in motion first...i find it very annoying when the passenger cannot add a destination while you are driving.

Check out the basic 204 forum. They were talking about how these are Mistu units and on other car manufacturers people have been able to modify just about whatever they want including the startup image. I beleive someone mentioned having or getting the CD that is used for updating the software to see the code. Check it out if you are interested in recoding.

Another thing people may not know is that you can be on another screen (say, Radio) and hit the voice button and say "Navigation" and it will change modules.
