And by common sense... you mean finding a nice open parking lot and doing donuts and driving like crazy to learn how to handle your car in snow... or at least have fun

I used my C63 through the winter of 2008. Was ok i guess...prefer my ML that i traded in, but if you drive carefully you'll be fine I'm up for a winter with my W211 E63 so i guess it's basically the same thing.
I recommend Nokia tyres. Great for winter use

I found some more wheels after selecting a C350 as my vehicle on TireRack.
This one looks interesting and might be a match for my steel gray. Anyone think it won't fit? Seems to have all the right numbers.

Planning to get these with Dunlop Winter Sport 3D in 225/40R18 all round.

I really want to make sure, cause it will suck to have to return the rims.

Yes, those are the sizes, but that doesn't mean it will clear the callipers.

They barely fit.

Tunerworks here in Calgary got them for me. I am sure there is a vendor in Toronto that can get them for you as well.
When you get them installed, they cannot use thick weights to balance the wheels. They will hit the calipers. You might have to use more 25g weights to get it to work.
